Alright I know I need to get to the edge of the world next. I just havn't figured out how to get up there. I have a feeling the dam comes into play here but I can't figure out how or if it even does... anyone have a hint?

You must talk to King Daniel. He'll have his knights open a way.

You must have solved the problem in Windermere. Now go to Goodheart castle and talk to King Daniel. Now you must go to a cave in the northern hills which has a guard standing next to it. This passage would lead you to the Edge of The World.

You have to complete all the tasks in Stonebrook, Terris, KernSin, and Windemare. Afterward, talk to King Daniel in Goodheart Castle and he will let you go into the Darklands. Leave the castle and go 1 screen east to the fork that can lead to Stonebrook or Terris. Go directly north until you reach the cliffs. If I remember correctly, there will be two knights on the sides of a cave. Enter it and you will be at a staircase in the middle of the Edge of the World. Good luck vs. the Stone Giants.

Edit: The dam has no important role in the game (as far as I know.) I think it is 2 screens east of the entrance to the Edge of the World.

Ya, what he said about them composing the music makes sense. But I never found suspicion in Bjork Dam, plus I looked at the walkthrough here and there, so I knew it wasn't a part of the game in anyway, just as a decoration.

What about me being a guy? C'mon now people! If you want a pic look up my yahoo profile (alinker05) or my myspace. I assure you I am all woman. What girls can't like these kinds of games?? I grew up playing commander keen, the doom games, duke nukem, and all that good stuff haha. Is there a way to load a pic on here? Geez you people are crazy. ... plus most of my friends are guys (girls are... well I don't get along with girls very well I'm not a very nice person haha) and I grew up around the military... Quick question.. how does my writing not seem chick-like? I see a lot of people from other countries on here... it's because I'm american isn't it haha j/p.

Not only ouch... expensive too!! So far my research shows that it's $50 per square inch.. mine is about 9 square inches at least.. which means a minimum of $450... That's more of an ouch than the physical... pain I can handle haha. (I mean hell, I got a tattoo and get pierced whenever I have the money and feel like it haha... 2 more piercings for me... the cartilage of my ear and my tounge!! And I think about 4 more tattoos)

Well, on the bright side it will only be painful when you get them removed. It doesn't hurt nearly as much afterwards, sort of like a scab. Just gotta be careful. Although it will probably heal quite a bit quicker than my unexpected skin transplants (cycling).

Why do you get piercings? I've never truely understood the idea in getting many. Sure, one or two for a way to remember, or the bellybutton thing because it's cute, but why more than that? I may just be thinking a little too logical, but all it seems to be is more chance of getting them caught on something.

Is this removing or adding a tattoo? I don't really know which one...

I like getting pierced because... well I've always liked the look of them and the brief pain is kinda addicting! I only have 3 in each ear and my belly button but I do want to get my tounge pierced (like the way it looks) and hell I heard it makes certain "acts" more fun

About the tattoo thing if it's someone holding a pen looking thing with a motor on top it is getting a tattoo.. if not then... probably removing. Basically tattooing involves a "gun" which is a needle (usually has many needles on it) and a motor that makes the needle(s) go up and down to penetrate the ink into the skin. While painful this is also very addicting!! My tattoo didn't hurt much because it's on the meaty part of my shoulder but I've heard that some of them hurt really bad (especially if it's over a bone and depending on the color of ink.) Pretty much I was anticipating pain but it really wasn't bad. It was a shock when the needle first touched me but after that it was pretty nice. I wanted to fall asleep so bad haha until he filled it in.. the rough rubbing of the needle wasn't so nice then haha. It numbed up after a few minutes though... I really can't wait to save up some money!!

You know if you like pain, I suggest that you get involved in cycling. I have, and I have never regretted it. The endorphins make you so feel so... happy. Plus, there's not much quite like sitting in a draft, crusing along at 35mph/60km/h with the wind flowing through your hair, careful, don't change the position of your head, you'll crash, heart pounding in your chest, pedaling for all your worth just to get those few extra clicks for those few extra seconds just to say that you could keep pace... It's dang near as good as sex.

I honestly doubt I'll ever get a tatoo. I have a much to high probably of getting scars and all, so, probably not. Plus, biking is a big enough money sink.

I'm more of a swimmer/walker... plus i'm lazy hehe.

about the scarring.. if they do a good job and you're careful with it (meaning you don't let it dry out but don't keep it too moist and DON'T pick the scab) you'll be fine. It sounds tough but it's really not. you keep a thin layer of A + D ointment on it (twice a day) and that's it. Don't pick at it. that's all you need to know really... well depending on where you get it done.. plus yu can always visit the place and they can give you a lot more info on it than i can

I've always found it a big money saver. I cycle probably about 150 km every full week at school. If I had to do that by train every day that would cost me a lot of money. And in six years I only had two bikes. My first was stolen when it had done about 3.5 years of service (a good thing we had just extended the insurance ) and my second still works perfectly (okay I just changed the chain yesterday and haven't driven it since so I don't know that for sure, but still...).

Maybe if I start using my bike for offroad practices costs will raise.

I shoot for ~200-250 km each week, not including going to get supplies, too and from work, etc. The bike I'm wanting to buy is ~2000$, and on top of that I'd need to clipless pedals and shoes to match, Then comes roughly $50 dollars a month just in upkeep, ie, tubes, tires, cables, gears, grease and chain lube, etc...

If I had a car, I wouldn't be able to aford to bike. That, and to insure my bikes, well, it's expensive. I know a buddy of mine, when he has to insure his 6k bike, he pays more in three months than he pays in house insurance.

Well, sometimes when your out in the middle of nowhere, and you've just got a bad case of road rash, sometimes your treatment isn't going to be the best. One time I had to use viniger and salt packets to steralize a wound, and bandage it with a bunch of gauze and medical tape. (slid into heavy mud) and well, it scared. Surprisingly, it also took only about 2 weeks to heal, compared to another similar wound on my other arm, that I was able to treat with actual medical supplies. That one took about a month and a half to go away, but the scar went away much faster.

Oh, and both of these were around 16 - 20 square inches in size, so it wasn't like I could just ignore them either.

I rarely get wounds, cuz I rarely venture outside my house, cuz I'm scared of wasps, (bumble)bees, horseflies, ants, but ta-dah, not spiders.
The few wounds I get are usually... well, the biggest one I got in the past few days was when I whacked my shin into a cut-down tree ONLY about 2 inches diameter. The wound I got got healed within ONLY 1-2 weeks. It was ONLY 1 square inches in size... it's nothing compared to you.

Eh, sleezy bars are fine, but they have to have the live bar band. That's the deciding factor. And if you want tall tales... well, I caught this fish.... To tell the truth, it wasn't a fish, it was a bike. And I pulled it out of the river with a rock and a rope. It still works, although without brakes, shifters, and a quarter of the spokes. The tubes still have air, so I guess that's something. Makes a rather shootty back up bike while I'm ordering in the parts for my actual bike.

One time, I crashed on my bike. I hit some type of bump and I got sent flying to my left side. (not literally, just fell ot my side) I got a, maybe 2 in. sq. cut on my leg, and it took a good part of my summer to heal. (around a month) Not fun...

I don't remember how old i was when i asked my dad to take the training wheels off my bike.. probably 5 or 6... anyways... i tried for months and months to keep my balance on that thing with no luck. then right as i was about to give up i find my balance and ride about 20 ft.. figure out that i never learned how to stop the thing (even though the brakes worked the same as when I had the training wheels.. yeah i never said i was a bright child!) so when I hit my playhouse i tipped over got some scrapes and ran in the house yelling for my mommy and daddy to come watch haha those were the good old days!

Well, one could get doored when passing by a parked car, it happens when you don't pay attention, and *technically* it's a parked car. If your going a decent enough pace, you can prevent the door from ever closing again, especially if you hit the inside part.

Glad I wasn't her.

My father's toe was once crushed by a 500 kg tractor wheel (yes, a 500 kg tractor wheel) the nail of that toe got detached. And, on top of that, the nearest hospital is 70 kilometers away. 1 hour with a pain in the toe. Ouch. The nail had to be replaced with some goo which, by time, hardened to a nail-like thingy, with almost the same properties. Except it won't grow any bigger. All new ferrari cars are really expensive, second hand cars can cost a lot less. I believe that especially four-door ferraris tend to drop in value quite rapidly.

Besides who wants a ferrari anyway, I mean they're cool untill you hit a bumb in the road. That's why I'd prefer a high end bmw or mercedes above a pure sportscar.

Not that I can afford any car, so this is purely hypothetical for me.

I wouldn't say wealthy... just lucky that my grandfather was a member of the car club thingy. He actually rebuilt it. It's an 1987 (year of my birth muhaha it's destiny!) My mom inherited it after his death and doesn't really want it but doesn't want to sell it either. Since I took an interest in it.. it's mine when I turn 21... Although the insurance is going to be hell! I forgot how much my parents are paying right now for it but they can only drive it 1000 miles a YEAR... can't run errands in it or anything... the only time they can drive it is basically to keep it from... doing whatever... my friend is a mechanic so he'd know the word for it haha. But yeah it needs some more work though... I want to put a manual transmission in it... VERY expensive and hard to do.. but ya know... I wanna do it! And since it's red I was thinking of either tan or black leather interior.. watcha think?

If your not going to drive a car, some of it will end up rotting, that's why if you want to preserve a car, you put all the rubber parts in oil, and you wax the rest of it yearly to prevent much rust. Or you drive it semi-frequently to keep an eye out for problems.

A manual transmission wouldn't be bad, but do you know how to drive one? Most people that I know that can drive one grew up on the farm, using the old grain truck as a training vehical. You are talking about manual transmision with an actual clutch pedal, not the pseudo-manual transmisions that everyone seems to brag about.

Here in Europe we don't have many automatic gearboxes, almost all gearboxes are manual. And I mean the version with the old fashion clutch pedal ofcourse. Actually the only time I remember sitting in a car with an automatic gearbox was in Canada.

It doesn't take really long to learn, I mean I've only had three one-hour driving lessons so far, and I seem to be able to control the car reasonably already. (And ofcourse that car doesn't have an automatic gearbox)

Talking about driving lessons, they're way to expensive here, and it's not legal to take lessons from your brother or something...

No Automatics? Nice!

And while some people can learn it after a few lessons, it does take some time to learn to do it instictively. And most people, after being exposed to driving automatics, find this fairly hard. They get lazy, and it's *so hard* to talk on the cellphone and drink coffee while driving a manual. Grrrrrr.

Well, Canada does have one up on you guys then, as our Driver Lisseons are publicly funded as we go through school. So we save something on the order of $2-3k.

What is a gearbox?!? What does manual mean?!?

I can drive a tractor, but I would gladly exchange my skill to a summer without all kinds of farm work, which my father forces me to do. (Still... what is an automatic gearbox?!?)

My sister had a driving exam via Internet yesterday. Too bad the questions were just too funny for her.

Umm my friend Fabian let me drive his new Civic... manual (with the clutch and everything) I did ok.. once I got into first gear... but getting it into first gear is HARD!! He was laughing so hard because I stalled his car 10 times within 6 feet haha. Oh well, it'll take me awhile but I'll do it! Driving lessons in the U.S. aren't cheap but they are still affordabe (and i went to a poorer school) basically all we have to pay for is our driving permit (what you learn to drive with) here you are not allowed to take lessons from anyone under the age of 21... they don't have to be family though. It could be your friend or a friend's parents or whatever. But my parents drive the car every once in awhile and we keep it in the garage because the sunroof leaks... another thing I have to fix on it haha. Overall it's in good condition. Just a few minor things like leaks but the other stuff is just to make the car more fun haha.

It takes a while to get to learn how to drive a standard. And as much as using the clutch makes it easier, you want to use the clutch as little as possible, as it's a friggen pain to replace on your own. And you have to avoid grinding gears as much as possible, as while the transmission is easier to repair, it's still not the easiest job. Although the older tran's can take a lot of abuse.

Here in Canada, you have to learn from a qualified instructor, and you need about 30 hours of inclass time and three hours of driving practice with the instructor before you take the written exam. You get to study out of a book that's about 300 pages long, and once you pass with an 85 or better, and get certian required questions 100% right, you can then take your road exam. Most people have to take the actual road exam two times to actually pass it, as they are very critical of you when you drive. If it's icy,, and you can't come to a stop safely due to a tailgater, you will fail the exam.

Geez the class I took was half of a semester and we took a pre-test in the beginning... which i only missed 3 questions! then you start driving, doing classwork, and the simulations (which really sucked!)Then you (for a "final")take the written exam. My parents didn't let me get my liscence until I was 17 because of my grades... fudge that! Oh well. But yeah I failed the driving test the first time because in the way out of that parkinglot (tiny entrance and exit because of the poor location)I hit a curb... so yeah I didn't get to take the test The next day I went though and had a different instructor person and passed... the first one was a total she dog! She had the nerve to tell a kid's parents that he was a danger on the road and should not be allowed to ever get behind the wheel of a car (I think that was why I fudgeed up haha) dang DMV!

Well, it is true that some people shouldn't be allowed to drive. Like me for example. I'm horrible behind a wheel, the only reason I have a license is because it is a very useful ID, and rarely I might need to make a long highway journey, which I can do. Inner city on the other hand is right out, and I choose not to do it.

Oh, and most places here don't have simulators. I've never actually seen one. They might have them in some of the bigger, more densely populated areas, but not out here in saskatchewan. Here, we have gravel roads. We have more kilometers of road per person here in saskatchewan than any other place in the world.

did someone say 4:20? thats my favorite holiday... actually got married on that day too.. not all potheads are your typical stereotypical losers. Some are your doctors, lawyers and elected officials.

I have smoked cannibis for 10 years now and it never affected my school, work or home life. It actaully helped me in school, got A's on those calculus tests I own my home and am going to be starting my own business soon repairing and building computers. I was a board member for my church for several years. There is rarely a day where i can sit on my booty all day, but when there is i play dink among other games.

Odds are most of the potheads ya know do other drugs too, such as drink booze. Those are usually the ones that wind up sitting on their arse most their lives.

Speaking of cars and the like...

I almost collided into someone last night... I wouldn't say it was my fault though. I was going at about 55 - the speed limit - down a highway when I saw a car and lights peering out of a driveway. Being considerate, I turned off my high beams so as not to blind whoever was in the car. I figured I'd turn 'em back on after I passed them. But just as I was about to pass... hey, they decide to get a headstart on pulling out! I slammed the brakes, and while I couldn't hear what was going on very well with my music as loud as it was, I seem to recall something similar to the cry of a thousand banshees.

After pausing for a few seconds, I swerved around their car, which was parked in the road, and made it out of the situation OK.

Banshees dude! That's a bad omen! Holy geez you're lucky.... or was the sound just from the screeching tires? Yeah some airhead was sitting at a 2-way stop sign (the road I was on didn't have to stop) so I go to turn left (she's on my left hand side...) she f'ing starts to pull out into the intersection as i'm in front of her! And guess what!? She was on the GD cellphone!! Stupid C**t! (change one letter to spell aunt...) Yeah that pissed me off! Then when we were driving up from florida some ID10T decides to pull into the lane where our car is located RIGHT BESIDE THEM!! We layed on the horn and had to slam on the brakes... you'd think people would be smart enough to look in the mirrors and check their blind-spot! People who are bad drivers (or don't wear their seatbelt) should die just for being stupid! (Thankyou Carlos Mencia!!)

That is becuase we are invincible! . No, not really. And bikers examining thier stomachs usually are either biking to far and are tired, or they don't really know how to bike and have to watch thier tires constantly.

And just because they can't see you, doesn't mean they can't hear you. I can usually hear cars comming up 10 seconds away, and I'm always looking around for more, usually with a head tuck under the arm to check in back.

My biggest problem with vehicals is that they think that since bikes don't have a motor, they don't have to yeild to them. Or they can overtake them on a turning lane. *Can't you people go a little slower for 5 seconds?!?!?* Grrr.
