I know here's not much people who have not been disaponted to HOCs. And now I've decised to make the last part for them: The War of the Ancients. You can also find infomation about it from HOC 3, which is not yet released. This final d-mod tells you a huge story about the War.

What's new (in HOCs)

1-The game contains now the normal talking. (not the bottom thingy)
2-The most huges map that's ever seen in HOCs.
3-Give a change for fight and be sure that blood will fly. (Means that there's lots of fight)
4-See a cut-scene (that you can't never forgot) with Bishop Nelson.
5-See and read Dink's child time... (even contains how his father died)
6-Hear many new midis!! Never heard in Dink before!! (I think, and I'm pretty sure)

Wow! I'm sure no other Dmod has done this before!
Seriously, it's only a feature if the MIDIs were made especially for this Dmod, or something. Now some storyline of when Dink was a child, that sounds more interesting...

Still, this sounds promising, and I hope to see some more of it soon.

Simple! I'm just no anymore in mood to make HOCs. I must use my lifetime to make some other d-mods too.
"Will it be romp or quest?"
I can't really answer yet. Maybe it's same that CC 2 was. (Little epic/Long quest).
But it atleast should be quest! That I can promise.

I'm done the first part of the map and scripting. A link when you play it: Be sure you'll level up in this part of the d-mod!)
The next part of game is KernSin. What do you think people? Should I release a demo of the game, IF it will tell something from full version? Like: talk to someone in the end of demo, and then see a cut-scene from full version.

I've done the Demo version almost ready. I will release this demo, because it would take many months until I get this ready. (I'll leave from my country for 4 months!! ). And after that I'll have to do very much works!! . But good thing is I can still be in DN. But my games are NOT in the other computer.

But I didn't get a good name to my head. So I just give a name like that. But come on! It's just a screenshots name.

Butaway, there are some more Boncas in other screen.

It seems kinda empty to me, make use of tiles and sprites. There are rock tiles, flowers, mushrooms, bushes, grass, logs, all sorts of things that could fill up the screen (to an extent.) An empty map = boring. Detailed maps keep people in the game (along with plot and gameplay ). Try things like a rock sprite with a bit of grass around it or a cluster of mushrooms, these things really spice up your DMOD and if used right will keep the player interested and less confused. I say confused because if you have a lot of empty looking screens they tend to look the same and make it easy to get lost if your map is large.

Just be sure to make sure sprites are hard when they are supposed to and nohit when they aren't supposed to be hit. If you don't do that right, you could be stuck on a piece of grass, walk through trees, or a fireball exploding on a flower. Btw, don't forget about the ducks

The grass tile loops a bit much, use different kinds of grass tiles, makes it look better.

Also, shouldn't Bonca World be totally a cave?

Well, if you didn't read the other post, it IS just a screenshot's name!!

And to those crass, stone, tree questions:
1: I was FOOL when I didn't place trees and etc to first place of map.
2: I though trees and etc wouldn't fit a maze.
3: There were burning in KernSin!! I added some dead trees, but do you think that trees survive if WHOLE village is burning?!
4: Cut-scene where Bishop Nelson and Dink fights, I think that trees won't be so close to cliff.

Well, I meant that they're like not too good, but still not too bad aswell.

Oh, and you know. I won't release (atleast not the shortest) demo. I just meant that it would be the end of demo, if it could be a demo. Uh... did you even look those two screenshots?

Mmmm, pizza. 
Unless you're aiming for the paint-style in your entire D-Mod, I advise against using that status bar and inventory. I have the feeling that the D-Mod will be better with the default graphics than with your version.

I'm sorry but those screenshots are horrible! The first three I saw did almost have nothing on them. For example KernSin, why not build a destroyed town that are burning instead to use tiles to make it looks like a fire pit? The status bar and the inventory... Don't use them, they're not looking nice at all.
If you haven't got any other program than paint to make a new status bar in, use the normal instead of a paint-version.

Take your time, work hard with every screen. This is supposed to be an epic D-Mod and released in about little less than a year? Well, I think you can be finished before summer. If you have a good story on your mind, do your best in every way to show everybody how good it is.
You seems like a guy that have the spirit to make a really good D-Mod. It would be bad if you not used it.

Refrain from using fully saturated at all costs (as well as the cheap spraycan effect). Get a decent image editor like Photoshop and the GIMP and try something else. This does look horrible and bad for the eyes.

I won't use my Status bar and inventory!! I'll use something else. But not the old one. Well, Marpro, you'll come to KernSin after sometime again. I'll send a screenshot from that. (Hope you like it more than burning mode). I also could change some of the first screens. But I hope that everypody understands; I'm still in school and a lot of time goes to homework and etc. I'll try to make best that I can with time I have. And Marpro, tell me about it! Everypody says to me that "You have a great story and great things in your d-mod, but you're going too fast with your story. All the good is missing because of that!". So, yeah! I'll try to make a better things to my d-mods from this.

I'm still in school and a lot of time goes to homework and etc. I'll try to make best that I can with time I have.

You have all the time you need as long as you don't restrict yourself to your own deadlines. Take a few years if you need them, on the end of the day you'll be much more satisfied with one complete DMOD than with a dozen 'rush DMODs'.

Make a good boss, not a powerful boss. It's not hard to make a game harder by giving the boss a gigantic amount of HP and speed. Making a unique and interesting boss is what makes a great DMOD, not a hard one.

The screens still look a bit empty, don't you think?

Looks interesting, and I'm sure you can do better than your (no offense) not-so-hot d-mods of the past. My only suggestion, as metatarasal has said, would be to make the screens a little prettier.
Check out As Good As Eternity, if you want, for a good example of well-designed screens.

Hey, it's me, skull again with some new info abut HOC 4. Forget some of the screenshots, because I make them better.

I'm adding new mini-quests and some secrets to the game. The story has changed a little, and is now like from place to place jumping sh*t. I've done with the main quest and added the good ending. Still, I'm thinking about the other endings. I've got three endings: Main ending, blow up ending, and joke ending.

So, wait for it. And anybody who wats to betatest it (when it's ready) can PM me. I answer in 1-9 days.

Also I'm adding (pretty much) horrible bosses for player. The Cast is pretty much in this game. More than in part 1-3. Ofcourse, it's longer game.

Graphics: New ones. But, also old ones. Borrowed from other D-mods. All the graphics by: Me, SimonK Dan Walma, RTSoft.
