Quotables
I've just noticed that DraconicDink is getting quoted a lot lately.I saw these
two just today.I am SO jealous since I hardly ever get quoted.
"And to quote the Wizards Nineth Rule from Chainfire, book nine of the Sword of Truth series: Contradictions cannot exist in reality." - DraconicDink
"I can tell you now that my thoughts (my actual ones, not hte ones you are percieving) can in no way be construed as paranoia. Even illogically." - DraconicDink

Here's a quote from that book: "if something contradicted itself it wouldn't be of it's own nature". If something wasn't of it's own nature how could it exist? It couldn't.
I just wanted to get you guys thinking, not to cause an argument.
As for my quotes... well I'd never noticed until now. But your comment got me to look at the quotes, which I rarely do, and I've seen mine twice in a row now.

You're right. Many DD-quotes are added.

Yes, many Draconic quotes indeed :
"I long ago lost the desire to argue with you lot, due to my assment that none of you are rational." - DraconicDink
"Remember creative talent is only the talent to come up with original ideas, not the ability to make good ideas." - DraconicDink
"To quote Monty Python: 'An argument is a series of statements intended to establish a proposition.'" - DraconicDink
"Why should I act against my own desires just to satisfy those of others? That's giving in to slavery." -DraconicDink
To whoever quoted DraconicDink : you know, it's not really that funny. In fact, I secretly agree with DraconicDink on at least four of his quotes. That's right, secretly.
EDIT : Carrie - you indeed don't get quoted often, but I found your only quote I can remember to be utterly hilarious. Most of DraconicDink's quotes, on the other hand, aren't really funny. There has to be some kind of D&D True Neutral balance in the universe, after all.

"Common sense? You expect me to think like the common person when I think they're irrational? That's just silly." - DraconicDink
I'm quotable too!
I'm quotable too!
I like the D&D mention, Ducklord.
Thanks.
I indirectly got the idea from this quiz, if you want to know.

Maybe it's an Anti-Canadian Conspirecy?? or a Duck thing....
Since the quotes failed to amuse Ducklord, they have been removed from the random quotes database.
...not. (That would be giving in to slavery, after all!) Those of us running the DN (or really, just redink1) insert whatever humors us. "Cow" and "WC makes good use of bananas" aren't going to be funny to everyone, for example, but we are adequately amused.
Also, if you've admitted that you "secretly" agree with some of Draconic's quotes, it's no longer secret. Though I am aware of what you really meant by that.

I'm a neutral good elf bard according to that. Not sure about that one. Mind you reading what it says about neutral good there is a degree of truth in it. The height part about elves isn't true for me, though. I'm 6'11". Hardly what I'd call an elf height. Actually, none of the elf stuff seems true of me. neither is the bard stuff. Mind you, none of the D&D classes fit me. Only the alignment seems to fit. The breakdown gives me -1 on law.

The rules of quoting:
1) A person that appears to try to be quoted is not.
2) Dan must get the motivation to login to the server to change the quotes.
As such, quite a few quotes fall through the cracks.
These past few days have seen some really active threads, and some of the stuff seemed rather quoteable. So I decided to add a couple dozen quotes. Not all of them were by DraconicDink, but... well, he did type a lot of interesting things.
It does help to be an active poster to get quotes. I looked into this, and DraconicDink has posted more posts in the past week than you (Carrie) have so far this year.

They don't quote us Canukcs because we are too good to be quoted, you can quote that!

Also, you post many... so to speak... unnecessary posts.

I'm not surprised. D&D lacks dragon players, or at least draconic players (like drakes). We'd need to play Dungeons & Dragons without the Dungeons.

Actually with the 3rd Edition book, Draconomicon: The Book of Dragons, you can get dragon characters.

Maybe that's because he thinks people are actually interested in what he thinks? Whether that's true or not I'll leave undecided...

I think you have to either say something funny or stupid
to get quoted. Some people are just better at that than me.

Oh yes.I am SoooOOOoOOOoooOOOooo jealous! (is the sarcasm coming
across this time?)
across this time?)
Yes, it does now. But considering you brought this issue up before, I couldn't say so of the original post.
