I know what I like. Do you know what I like? I like cartoons. They are, in my opinion, much more entertaining than live-action television.

Kiddie cartoons I like include Invader Zim, The Ren & Stimpy Show (the old one.. I've yet to see the new one), Rocko's Modern Life, Spongebob Squarepants, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Evil Con Carne, Samurai Jack...uh.. I forget the rest.

Other, more "mature" toons I enjoy are Futurama, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Home Movies, The PJ's, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Lupin III, um... basically anything that's ever aired on Fox or Adult Swim, I guess.

So, uh, what do you like? Also, if you feel like answering (I didn't..), why?

Invader Zim was quality stuff til they took it off the air... *sigh*
My favorite cartoon of all time is probably Futurama. And I enjoyed the single episode of Lupin III which I saw at Tal's house. Oh, and waaaay back during like the first season of each, I used to watch Pokemon and Digimon all the time. I stopped watching after the first seasons, though. Oh, and Daria is overly amusing.
However, I rarely watch TV anymore... occasionally The Simpsons if my sister is already watching it at an extremely high volume while I'm attempting to play a video game in the same room, in which case I have no choice but to listen to it, so I might as well watch it.

Yes, yes it does.. but when I do watch it, those cartoons are usually what I watch.

I watch loads of TV...yet I can't remember anything I've watched. That's just freaky!

But the Simpsons, Futurama, SPongeBob SquarePants and Grim and Evil are super cool.

Let's not forget South Park, which is hilariously funny but also a guidebook on how to live a moral life, tackling a new current issue in every episode!

Best character ever? It has to be Towely (is that how you spell it? Doesn't matter...) from South Park.

Aye, South Park is great. I also enjoyed the Simpsons, Futurama, Space Ghost, Family Guy, and Rocko's Modern Life. I sometimes stop and watch when my little brother is viewig Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Ed is a comedic genius.

I thought you liked duckman too,Tal. Clerks was an awesome cartoon for the 6 episodes that were made and the two that aired. I can never get enough South Park or Family Guy either.

I do, in fact, like Duckman. What I don't like is my terrible memory. Clerks was amusing, as well, though I only saw the debut episode. Ed, Edd, and Eddy is occasionally funny, mostly because of Ed.

merlin, ah true... they are.. japanese cartoons! .. cartoons come in genres, the american cartoons usually have the childrens cartoons and comedy cartoons.. while japanese cartoons (ah, forgive me, anime..) has a more wide selection of genres..

but since japanese cartoons has tentacles and american cartoons has not Im willing to call it anime!..

i was sword fighting my friend today with a kitana and a cutlass, and i went to parry his sword with my cutlass and ended up slicing his arm. i felt bad so i stabbed myself in the arm, i think a little too deep. it feels funny when i type... this kicks ass. dont play with swords kids unless its in dink. PS cartoons suck.

hey do any of you monkeys play magic the gathering? dude, 8th edition is fudgeed up. they changed the cards its like techno magic.

One friend and a few of his friends went to Detroit to go 'play ninja'. They had like a sword, grappeling hooks, and everything. While driving around, they decided to climb up on the Toys 'R' Us. When they got up there, they saw a security guard wandering around, and I think my friend jumped on a nearby semi for some reason. They didn't get caught though.

Oh, and he played Magic the Gathering. So there must be some corollation between ninja/sword/etc. stuff and Magic.

I don't really watch TV anymore, but when I did, this is the stuff I watched:

Various anime, like Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha, and YuYu Hakusho. Cool stuff.

Power Puff Girls, all the way. Seriously, if you don't watch this show, you're missing out. Lots of subliminal messages too, if you're observant.

Samurai Jack. Very original and creative cartoon.

Invader Zim's cool. Pretty demented, but quite excellent. Jhonen is great, has anybody read any of his comics before?

And of course, The Simpsons, Futurama, The Family Guy, and occasionally South Park.

Eh, I'm basically just rephrasing what everybody said, except for PPG, methinks, but yeah, like Tal said, anything on Adult Swim is pretty neat.

All in all, this is a good, refreshing thread.

I used to play Magic. But, then I discovered Unreal Tournament. Which do you think I stuck with? Oh, want my giant stack of cards? Well, too bad. You can't have them.

And, I like the 'Anime Unleashed' on TechTV. THey usually have some pretty good stuff (although I don't remember some of the wacky names). Another good show on that channel is the Animation Factory thingy. I have no idea what it's called, but it is a collection of miscellaneous computer animations. No, they're not cartoons, but they're still pretty cool.

PS cartoons suck.

Has no one seen the orginal ttransformers, that kicks ass the ultimate battle between good and evil, and unlike the boringly predictable cartoons of today megatron actully used to win some times

Edit: There's a new version of Transformers I think. Transformers Armed...it's not as cool as the old one. In Armed, Optimus says almost nothing in battle, and some Decepticons look like dumb.

I can't understand how you people can say that cartoons like futurama, family guy or south park are good... South park is watchable -sometimes, but futurama and the family guy SUCK. Especially family guy. omg

Only good cartoons are The Flintstones (ok my day but still in reruns) and The Simpsons.

I didn't watch blue gender after I watched and saw how weird fooly cooly was. That is screwed up, but I wonder if it will be considered genius 10 years from now.

I'm BIG into Anime. I love the crazy ones like FLCL (Fooly Cooly), and Excel Saga. (If anyone knows what Excel Saga is, then you already know that it is bizarre and makes no sense, but the sex, drug use, and extreme graphic violence make up for it.. ) On eof my favorite Anime's of all time is Paranoia Agent. It doesn't get any better than an anime about a series of attacks carried out by a kid on roller blades who turns out to a delusion born out of a little girl's paranoid imagination. Nothing like blurring the line between reality and what's not real. Cowboy Bebop is a particular favorite of mine as well. I like Full Metal Alchemist, Trinity Blood, Lupin the 3rd, Trigun, Super Milk Chan (You have to be beyond weird to like this show)and many others. I like goofy comedy toons like Space Ghost Coast to Coast ( youw ont find many people who like it more), Futurama (Why are the new eps coming in 2008 on Comedy Central?), Family Guy ( Seth MacFarlane is hilarious), Home Movies was great, Sealab 2021 (first few seasons were hilarious). I absolutely hate any of the newer comedies on Adult Swim. They all suck.

Seth MacFarlane does American Dad (sometimes a good show, sometimes not) and Family Guy. Seth Green only does Robot Chicken. Futurama is done by Matt Groening, the creator of The Simpsons.

Heh, never really liked anime (that goes for Super Milk Chan, too)... People tell me there's a lot lost in translation, and I've not really been interested enough to really try and look for "good stuff".

I've been out of the country for a while, so I've only recently caught some of Adult Swim's new shows. They're kind of a mixed bag. Metalpocalypse has kind of grown on me... it's no so much funny as it is fun to watch. I can't really fathom it ever being as a good as Home Movies. Stroker and Hoop and Robot Chicken are both quite good. I caught a marathon of the 2nd season of Venture Bros recently and... wow. I don't know if it was just because I was really tired... but I believe it might be one of the best shows on television right now.

Anything else that's new on AS is either not very good or I haven't seen.

BTW, the only thing that's ever amused me about Ed, Edd, and Eddy is Ed. But he alone is not enough to make me want to watch.
