However, there are some horrible pictures of myself there as well, I'd just delete them, but I have to login to do that, but I forgot my password, I tried the "forgot your password?" option, and it sent the password request into vukodlawk@hotmail.com, but I have to login to hotmail to do that, and I forgot my password aswell, i tried the "forgot your password?" option, and it asked me my historical hero, but I forgot that one too.

Maybe when you're dead you get into this weird 4D-world where you can actually (b)be(/b) Dink. That would be pretty cool I just wonder if yuo'll be able to play all sorts of d-mods, or maybe the cyber-world can't handle that... Must also be cool to walk around in your own dink-world
Although it would suck if you keep dying because you thought it was pretty cool to create so many monsters it would be near-impossible to beat them all.
Hmm. dying in death...

Isn't the first dimension like only forwards and backwards and the second dimension forwards, backwards, left, richt, and the third dimension forwards, backwards, left, richt, up, down? Then the fourth would just have another direction.

"It'd be cool to time-travel though." You do ofcourse know it's sort of possible don't you. And then I mean only forward in time. (Maybe backwards would be discovered one day but I wonder if that would be in this part of the galaxy because it should be impossible. But then again noting is impossible.) Also interesting is that we are already going forward in time only "time-travel" would be much faster.

The problem with going backwards in time, is that you'd have to first generate infinite - 1 energy to accelerate yourself past c. Once this is donw, you generate some more energy, and then go faster than light. Now you will be going backwards in time. Now the problems begin. To start to go slower than the speed of light, you will have to lose energy. But if you interact with anything, you gain energy. Soon, just by cosmic dust interactions, you will have been acclerated to an infinite speed, causing you to instantly dissapear, and end up before the beginning of the universe. But as space is a direct result of the universes existance, you would not be moving, as there would be nothing to measure your movement by. And you wouldn't be able to do anything either, as there is no time before the universe.
All in all, you'd end up being pretty pointless. Or a yottametter long smear on the cosmic void.

Lets look at the terms of a rectangle:

1D: length _
2D: length and width _/
3D: length, width, and height. _|/

4D: time

I don't know why 4D is time, but if it were another direction, it would be diagonal, which could still be a length, or width. It wouldn't be the height because a straigt line from the edge of the diagonal line and the base of the shape would still be the height. So 4D couldn't be a side or direction.

However, with the String Theory, scientists thoerize that there are up to 15 dimensions... Dam_n PBS

There could easily be another spatial dimension. You just can not imagine it, growing up in a 3 spatial dimensional world.

And string theroy is bunk. There's too many kludges, too many approximations and not enough accurate elegantness. Howexer the extra micro-spatial dimensions do exist. They are truely small though. But if you could move through them there is no telling what would happen.

Er... Several particles that string theory implies exist, don't, so the theorists backing the theory in essence change some variables to make those particles appear at higher energy levels.

And theories can never be proven. That's in the definition of what a theory is. They can only be disproven. Theories should never be hailed as fact, only our best guess.

Ahem, the Theory of Gravity has been proven.

Though I'm not sure about which part of gravity you're talking about, I can ensure you that gravity is still much of a mystery. People thought Newton's gravitational laws where correct, and that was the end. Untill in 1925 Einstein came up with the theory of general relativity, according to that theory gravity works a bit differently from what Newton said (inventing 4D as being time in the same time).
Most scientists now believe Einstein was correct, though nobody can be sure whether or not future discoveries can shed a different light on the matter.

Actually, most physicists think Einstein had a very good guess, but not that he was right. Modern gravity and newtonian gravity are both aproximations of an meta thoery of gravity, in which we hope to tie together the other fundamental forces, the weak, the strong, and electromagnitism. We've got them all hooked together, all except mass/gravity. That's what the serach for the higgs bosson is about.

Personally I don't believe that there is a higgs boson, I belive that gravity can be approximated well with a constant flux of lightspeed moving, weakly interacting gravitons. They would have to be at least a third of the way to the order of planck scale for this to work, And there would have to be a veritable sea of them.

The reason I think this makes sence, is because that gravity seems to have a limited distance, something like the order of 20 parsecs I believe. (That's just a guess, I don't have any way to check up on refrence materials at the moment.) It also makes sence, because gravity is a repulsive force, and a quadrupole as well. This theorys curxcomes from the fact that it specifies much different sorts of gravity waves than quantum or string theory gravity predicts. Much weaker, you'd notice disturbances from being shadowed by highly massive binary, quickly orbiting stellar objects. The are a bit different from what other theories are looking for, so if they don't find any gravity waves in 2009 or 2011, then that throws more weight behind this theory. (Proving something exists before you know of it is a holy grail of theory making. It means your not wrong. Very not wrong.)

It's given that the theory I support isn't well accepted in most circles, but there is currently not much proof to the otherwise. It's just t hat string theory has a lot of money behind it, and peopled don't want to let go of their grants. Hell, my prof at the uni. is trying to prove some esoteric particles mathematical existance at the moement, and he doesn't trust string theory at all. But he had a nice grant, and he likes the math. He's not alone. String theory for most people is the best that's out there, and they try to roll with it.

String theory is physics when put into the hands of bored mathematicians. Sure, it's a nice playground, but it's not quite right.

Why does it have to be diagonal? Can't it be 'in' and 'out'?
If 4d was time, than I suppose we would be able to see the past,
present and future all at once? Why would it be time though?
Who came up with that theory anyways?

EDIT : About the whole 'gravity' thing.Maybe people just make it
more complicated than it really is.I look at a fan spinning and on
one side it's sucking air in and on the other it's pushing it out.
The earth is spinning...sucking us downwards...hmm..where would the
'blowing' part be then? This theory perhaps?
