I've just played through Dink Learns Music, and it's fine. I also checked Quest for the Gems, it really seems like I should update it, but that hasn't got anything to do with 1.08. (that means it's compatible)

Also ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ seems to 'work' in 1.08 too. (One has to try )

I'm 97.4678% sure that The Scourger v1.01 will not give issues too (The only issues I know of where fixed in v1.01), but I don't feel like playing it right now. I might get around it soon though...

(All DMODs checked in windowed mode)

...his Ancestor 1239 works both in true-color and non-true-color mode.

EDIT : I played through it successfully in non-true-color mode and tried hitting, walking, displaying the inventory, and talking in true-color mode, and it worked.

Darkspace Derelict crashes when you press enter.
EDIT : That's the only problem I could find, though.
EDIT 2 : The D-Mod quits to Windows if you press Escape, but it does not seem to be a crash.
In the future, should I edit my posts or post a new message each time I test a D-Mod?

EDIT : Frogger technically does not crash, but it is almost unplayable on a fast computer. Also, it does crash if you press the 'Escape' key - but you don't need to press the Escape key in this game anyway.

EDIT 2 : Forest of Dangers : played through without any problems.

EDIT 3 : Bloop the Fish 2 : played through with no problems.

I haven't thoroughly tested Eternal suicide Chapter Zero, but you should prevent the player from using true-color, since it uses the same shadow effect as in Lyna's Story.

EDIT : As far as I can tell, Explorations : redink1's basement works.

EDIT 2 : Played through Elves of Rathor with no problems whatsoever.

EDIT 3 : The game sometimes crashes while selecting the staff in the inventory in 'Mike the Magician'.
EDIT 4 : Other than that, no problems with Mike, I guess.

I tested Dink 007. There are problems galore, but I don't think that v1.08-related.

Off-Topic : The music reminds of this. Truly, all your bugs are belong to me.

EDIT : 'Watched' Dink Letterman without any problems. Somehow, I'm not surprised.

EDIT 2 (again) : Finished Counter-Strike CTF demo with no problems.

EDIT 3 : Played through Dink Learns Music with no problems.

EDIT 4 : 'Watched' Between the Shadows without problems, although it does tend to crash if you press enter. Then again, you don't really need to press enter, do you?

EDIT 5 : Played through Mike Dingwell's First D-Mod with no problems.

EDIT 6 : Tested Land of Transforming Ducks. Dfarc2 does not seem to be able to launch this D-Mod, since it lacks a Dmod.DIZ file. Other than that, the D-Mod runs slowly at times due to the many sprites on the screen, but does not crash.

Thanks for the info, Christiaan. And by the way redink1, I wasn't the one who tested ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ, it was metatarasal.

EDIT : It was also metatarasal who tested Quest for the Gems.

EDIT 2 : In Dinkers, the mouse sometimes stops moving for no reason. And I tested it on a very fast computer (3 Ghz). Also, Gorack, Umtar, and Shreik : The First Battle seems to be unfinishable (EDIT 3 : without cheating), but I doubt that's v1.08-related. I'll look into this today, and I'll also test Secret of Amehoela and Secret of Parizaya if I have enough spare time.

-Played through Secret of Amehoela without problems.
-Currently testing Secret of Parizaya. So far I found a few bugs : the game sometimes freezes when talking to the fairy and a screen goes dark in the mine; but those bugs are not v1.08-related. The only bug I found so far which may have something to do with v1.08 is that the boncas which are supposed to be invisible in the Dungeon of the danged are no longer invisible.

EDIT : I am testing Secret of Parizaya in true-color mode.
EDIT 2 : Haha, the 'Dungeon of the D*mned' got censored.

EDIT 3 : Finished playing Secret of Parizaya. I found a few bugs, but the only one which I think may be v1.08-related is the (non-)invisible boncas problem I mentioned earlier.

EDIT 4 : - 'Watched' the Crystal of Power trailer without problems.
- 'Played' through A Town Over successfully.

-Scar of David : Seems to be unfinishable with v1.08. The over-sized woman didn't react when I tried to show her the amulet. EDIT : Not only is it unfinishable, but the dialog options are also completely messed up, especially with Papa Georgio. And that's definetely v1.08-related, because I don't have that problem with v1.06.

Screen goes dark in the mine: not a bug, just a very bad idea of mine. There's a torch in the room you need to put back on to light the room again.
Invisible bonca's: You mean the one who flicker and say "Haha, you can't see us!", or something similar? 'Cause yeah, that wás a bug a couple of years ago, but fixed it by letting them saying that line. I think it's kinda cool. So I'm guessing it ís 1.08 compatible, but just a bit messy.

Christiaan : The fairy problem is actually linked to several other problems, like the fact that you lose the gold key if you do the fairy/mine subquests after picking it up. Problem is, you used the '&story' variable for the subquests, which causes problem with the game. As for the mine, it's not just the room which goes dark, it's the whole world, even if you reload. Also, just a question, has the super axe/water secret finally been implemented?

EDIT : And yes, I did mean the fairy who wants a toy and I did mean the boncas who flicker. And thanks for info about the torch.

I will update it some more if I have some time. Truth is, Secret of Parizaya is kind of a lost cause, it's just buggy, and it's hard to fix because the scripting is extremely messy. And since I'm working on a totally different D-Mod now, I find it hard to get motivated to fix Parizaya at the moment. But I will, in due time.

Back on topic : Played Quest for Arithia 3 : Elemental Peace without problems.

EDIT : Played 9gems2. There are boatloads of bugs, but the game seems to be finishable if you fix the cannon bug, and none of the bugs were clearly v1.08-related (Dink not being able to cast spells after reloading near the savebot one screen south of Blaze does seem a bit odd, but I think I had a similar problem when I played it with 1.06).

EDIT 2 : Played through Goblinoma Z successfully.

EDIT 3 : Played through Dink Goes Wandering successfully.

Ducklord: about Dinkers, did you mean how the mouse cursor seems to pause about once a second when you're moving it around? I think that's always been like that... I had some very inefficient scripting stuff going on.

I've fixed Dink Goes Boating (now ver 0.96) so that it blocks true color, and fixed the dead dragon corpse so that it doesn't do the fade_down(xx) in 1.08 version... Redink1, it you could grab the file from:

Also, the list says that neither QfA2 : The Rozarus nor Attack of the Army have been tested (I tested them, see two of my previous posts in this thread). Also, it might be useful to write down the fact that Scar of David is currently unfinishable with v1.08 (the list only says that the crash bug has been fixed, not that it is unfinishable. Again, see one of my previous posts).

As Good as Eternity and Cloud Castle 2 : Scarab are next on my testing list (yes, I'm still working on the CC2 walkthrough. Slowly, but it's better than not working at all).

EDIT: I've tried to play through the revenge of the ducks triology, part 1 and 2 work fine, but part 3 has some screenlockissues. (I think that's because some monsters are placed off-screen and can't enter the screen because of the screenlockfix, so the screenlock doesn't disapear...(just guessing))

EDIT2: The Orion works fine...

I'm playing Quest for Dorinthia (The) with version 1.08, I don't know if the issue is related to the button4.c error but I'm unable to access the items menu, The Dmod doesn't respond to the Enter Key.

Chop your own wood, and it will warm you twice. 
Before v1.08, pressing Enter would display the item menu. Now the author can change that by editing the button4.c script(if that script is missing from the story dir, the item menu displays as before). Unfortunatelly, Quest for Dorinthia and Secret of Parizaya(and maybe other DMODS) had a script called like that. Now, every time the Enter key is pressed, that script is called.

GlennGlenn doesn't want a custom title. 
Dukie's Shooting gallery woroks fine, but Helpin the 'ol duck farmer had some problem with the fade I think, when I died and I to start the game was eveything black just the text wsa white, and Kill murdock had some problems with drawing the status bar at the beginning.

I object 
Red Shield has some visibility issues. (objects that are visible when they shouldn't, they're not visible in 1.07) Plus it has some timing issues, (I believe).
Red Jacket Murders works fine, besides the white-box-around-a-sprite problem. (The pumpkins are most noticable, but some jacket graphics have the same problem)

And are you sure that you really testd it? Since I am using Force_vision in the game, so I don't think it supports v1.08 yet anyway

There a problem with knight tale 2, i had to lower the castle door at the start because it was inside the castle hardness.

And in fb3, dink go too slow when he get the rock to win the ribbon (you cant win)

Sorry for posting three time in a row but I tested fb3 again and i was able to make it but only from the stone near the castle. The 2 other I simply cant.
Before the v1.08, it was very easy, but now dink with speed of 4 is too slow somehow (normal is 3).

Maybe dink wasent tested because not many mod use this feature, if you cant change speed 4 to be a little faster maybe fb3 creator will have to change the north west rock location.

and most of carrie2000 dmod new graphique have white square around them in true color .

Ok ok i found too many stuff to not say them lol

in fiat you have to re-equip your weapon every time you load your saved file. except that everything work fine in it

in fb3 ok where to begin...
1- when you buy elexir you dont get 1 in your inventory
2- the slow thing i said before
3- when you were the ribbon dink seame to be speeded alot more then any other dmod but he dont go faster
4- when you were a sword the last frame of dink when he is idle is not right (he face other direction)
5-the inn in the fruit village keep letting me stay there for free

I used the ted rewrite but I used that one before the v1.08 and the dmod dint had those problem.
im only in the fruit village right now so i might find other bug later...

Sorry i cant edit my post so i have to make other topic to correct what i said. I'm very sorry about that

All the thing i said about fb3 are incorrect to a point
See I reinstalled fb3 + ted and by using my old saved file i re-tryed all the problem I had and everything work fine lol, and i kinda know why (at least)

let begin with the begining
I opened windinkedit to see where the rock was on the map (i know that cheating but...) anyway i had to use vision1 to see the rock, then when I noted the map number I closed/Saved wde.
This is when all bugged because i changed vision in wde and saved lol, i dont know why but it is.

I re-did those part with a unbugged fb3 and it bugged again.

Now all i can say is that im sorry and dont play with windinkedit with fb3 or any dmod with v1.08 untill it corrected

(by the way i dint play with wde with any other mod except this 1 so my test a correct except for fb3 at least)

I also forgot to mantion that there a little problem in green voice in my head, in the slayer forest some slayer dont start on the screen but outside (and get stuck in the sw corner) since there no screenlock there, it not that bad but I wanted to say it

Ok pilgrim quest have the same problem that kinght tale 2 have

The hardness cover the warp point and you cant enter many of the starting village house

I hope there a easy way to do this because this is a big mod and redoing all the hardness whould be a pain...
Also the graphique are very dark but that may be my monitor (I had problem with darkness in many game/video)

EDIT: Tested Ed the SCV and there 2 bug, the first is that when you hit a zerg with missil or yamato canon the explosion effect appear in the nw corner of the sceen.
The second is in the boss battle the midi stop too fast (not that i like bubble babble lol) it make the boss battle kinda boring whitout music.

Edit2: Tested pilgrim quest and found no problem

Played Ants(the) Demo. Found a bug, but it's there on v1.07 too: When you load the game, the magic item graphics is the same with the fist. Everething else worked fine.

I forgot to mention that I played the other two "Milderr" games (1 and 2), to the end and that neither was hindered by the wonderful thing that is v1.08.
To summarise:
Milderr 1 = fine
Milderr 2 = fine
Milderr 3 = not fine

Now I will leave you all alone. (unless something else earth-shattering comes to my attention).
Let me know if you trust me to test the other "Not tested" dmods, I have a lot of time on my hands so would willingly do so.

39. Dinkanoid Version 1.0: Seems fine (Although I didn't play it until the end. That would have to involve getting good at it!)

40. Dinkaventure: had a problem with sprites remaining on the screen. (I tried to investigate further, but could not make it happen again).
Otherwise, no new errors.

41. DinkCraft Beta 2: Some sprites on white backgrounds in true colour mode. ( Also; Ship becomes horseman when moving. He gets stuck in the Ice Village. Don't know if this is v1.08 related).

42. Dinkopolis: Played through successfully. No new errors.

SURELY SOMEBODY can help????
All you have to do is start up one of the games in question (You don't even have to play them), in True Color mode, and it will become obvious in seconds whether the WHITE text shows or not. You can then do the same in non-true color mode, and see if there is a difference.
Could anything be more easy?

Seems that the problem is unique to Tiny, and thus maybe not actually a bug of the dmod. But then it might be. Seems a rare one though, if it is one.

Just realised that it's "True Color" mode is not 32bit.
Not sure how to sort this out, or even if I can sort it out, but.....

Shame wasn't the reason. It was because Maci is a type of magic user in my fantasy stories and because I really like dragons.

Tested through Lost in Dink... playable, but there are several instances of a bug in which static sprites go through a animation sequence...(e.g. this happens when Dink dies). Numerous hardbox errors...(I dislike hitting a coconut monkey square-on only to find that I missed because the hardbox isn't big enough to encompass the entire sprite).

Tested through Mayhem... plays flawlessly, except when you restart and then it freezes...

You already know of some of these, redink1, but I figured I would post what I've already reported to you anyway in addition to a few other things. I also opted to report major errors not exclusive to 1.08 since freezes, crashes, and the like aren't entirely pleasant.

Dink 1.08 (and prior I'd wager) - Gaining a level while interacting with a save machine will bring up the stat raise prompt, then upon selecting something the game freezes.

Beginning of Evil - Currently unfinished. Southernmost well is buggy as hell and seems to enjoy permanent screenlocks, not a 1.08 problem though.

Dink Arena GUI - Appears to work as originally intended. Some peculiar bugs that pertain to both 1.06 and 1.08. I may very well try to mend these myself in my spare time, and maybe toss in some other things too. Not that anyone would be extremely excited about an update to Dink Arena several years later.

Dink's Father 3 - Finished. ohno.c, "leave" freezes game (1.06/1.08). Dink cannot exit a certain building after killing knights, 1.08 exclusive bug (check out savegame and instructions on how to reproduce the bug here).

Emerald Hunt (The) - Finished.

End of the World - Currently unfinished. Cannot place bombs in 1.06 or 1.08, which is peculiar since I am quite certain I've finished this D-Mod before with 1.06. If anyone else could verify this oddity I'd appreciate it.

Evil Empire - Finished.

Frogger - Appears to function about the same as it did before. Same odd bugs it used to have, mostly. Exiting the game generates an error report in Windows, 1.08 only (previously documented by Ducklord, uncredited).

Ghosts of the Cast 1, 2, and 3 - Finished.

Glenn's First D-Mod - Finished.

Gnug's Attack - Finished.

Goblin Castle - Finished.

Goblin Trouble - Finished. Saying goodbye to the bartender west of the screen you start on freezes the game (1.06/1.08).

Hide-and-Seek - Finished.

Impossible Scenarios - Finished.

Island of the Giants - Finished. Saying "leave" to the farmer in the town to the east freezes the game (1.06/1.08), saying "no way" to the stone giant leader freezes the game (1.06/1.08).

Labyrinth - "Finished" with a little help from Ultimate Cheat's warping. Can't be bothered going through the entire maze.

Legend of the Duck - Finished. Windows reports an error after game is completed, 1.08 only. This is the third D-Mod this has happened to me in so far; I'm beginning to think 1.08 is a bit sensitive to the kill_game command somehow?

Mayhem - Appears to work as originally intended. Previously tested by VonZeppelin, uncredited. I did not experience the freeze problem when restarting he mentioned, however.

Mrs. Scarlet's Murder Mystery - Finished.
