Hi....um hlp please?
Hi, I'm really new to this game i.e just got it yesterday and I would really appreiciate some help.
What exactly do you need help with?
Well u move with the arrows on your keyboard, ctrl for pnunching and shift for magic, you can find walkthrough in the DinkSolutions. Click on the button under the Partners section.
Well I got that much from the read me thingy.
But as for walkthoughs,hmmmm....strangly hadn't occored to me.

Best idea is to press space (talk) to everyone you see... and do what they ask. Worked for me! In the original game, you shouldn't really need the walkthrough, provided that you talk to EVERYONE.
Hmmm... This post brings lazyness to a whole new level, I already made these levels:
very diligent: You make DMODs 24/7
diligent: You make DMODs
normal: Normal hasn't got anything to do with Dink I'm afraid, we should keep this level out...
lazy: You play Dink without making DMODs
very lazy: You play Dink, do not make DMODs but you do ask on the board about them, just because you're to lazy to find the solution to a problem yourself.
But this is a whole new level! Not only are you lazy enough to ask around the board. But you're even lazy enough not to ask the question yourself, but let others find out what you want to know. Now that's true lazyness!
In general lazyness isn't too bad, but if you truely want help, you should atleast ask a question.

Umm zyphrexi, can you change your avatar please?
At least he plays Dink. What if you don't play Dink and ask around this board without actually asking anything? That'd be scary
I play dink I even make D-Mod, but I havent worked much lately since im very busy with school.
School sucks! Stop working for school and start working on D-Mods. D-Mods rule! Lets all set our schools on fire and make manny manny D-Mods!
I think I would come the closest to very diligent because I work on my D-Mod all the time (when I'm not buzy with school. GRRR I HATE SCHOOL! ) I don't even play games annymore only a few D-Mods for insperation (and I play D-Mods because it's fun.)So I wonder would it be nuts if you have forbidden yourself to even play a game because you've got to make your own.
School isn't that bad, I like school.

Wrong. Even if you know that 'there is a rock near the duck idol with a crack in it', you don't necessarily guess that you have to blow it up. As for doing what people say... Ever played The Scourger? Or Anarchy Halloween Party? Heh, even in TGVIMH you must not always do what SBV says... He tells you not to use a switch, but you have to use it anyway...

In your list ranging from "very diligent" to "very lazy" I miss the "You make D-Mods 24/7 for a period of a few days/weeks and then you don't make D-Mods for a period of several months" option
Hey, I fit into this category.
Yes me too now I don't need to say closest to verry diligant
What about manic-depressive?
I just don't know where to place this in the list, it should probably replace 'normal' since this behaviour is pretty... normal... (at TDN anyway)

Hey! I protest to that category of "LAZY" - i'm not! It's all i can do to steal a few hours of playing DMODs... ...wish i were in school again, and not here worrying about my kids' diet and grades...then i'll have time to experiment on Dmod creation.
And better not change the "normal" to "manic-depressive"...it will certainly cause a lot of confusion for the obsessive-compulsives here...wait i see another pillbug under the bed...gotta swat it with my broom...

*floating lightbuld above my head, accompanied by a sound that closely resembles the machine that goes "Ping!"*
A broom as a weapon, how neat

what about those with such a grand assortment of mental illnesses that they've stumped every shrink they've come across. I fit into that category. Maybe. Shut up dammit! *Gets angry for no reason and proceeds to scream at inanimate objects*
Um, what am I when I don't play dink anymore?
Ducklord... Yes, I've played Anarchy, and the Scourger, and TGVIMH... and no, just talking to everyone doesn't necessarily help in those particular dmods... but since the post was to do with the ORIGINAL dink... and clearly 'loki' hadn't got even close to windemere... I thought my advice was reasonable... as I said, 'worked for me'.
Still you, you just don't Dink anymore and therefor lose a part of your soul and life.
EDIT: Thanks IceDomina, for posting just that second earlier.

IceDomina : Yes, of course the 'talk to everyone' advice was good advice; I was simply pointing out that one can still get stuck/need the walkthrough at times even if one talks to everyone (in the original Dink).
Ducklord: Acknowledged. Fair enough. I just wasn't willing to presume that loki was incapable of putting 2 and 2 together...
But you're right, sometimes one needs a walkthrough... even if it is to point out what, to someone else, is the 'obvious'.
But you're quite right nonetheless
