Your favourite PS games
I'm just curious, what is/are your favourite Playstation game(s)? Mine are definitely Tombi, Abe's odyssee and Spyro the Dragon.
hey, Spyro ! On of my favs too .There are so many good and awful PS games, so i canĀ“t deside...Maybe Metal Gear Solid, Tekken3, and many other good games
legend of dragoon, final fantasy tactics, and tony hawk's pro skater 1/2
Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy Tactics, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Tales of Destiny 2.
socom us navy seals online. only good graphic games i like are the shooting ones.
Final fantasy tactics, i've been playing that sh|t for like the past year straight after I picked up the greatest hits release of it, dang addicting
Keep away from the little brat. You should see how he totally freaks out every time we toss his consoles back and forth.
Definitely FF Tactics for its story, music, and gameplay.
Also, for simple fun how about Strikers 1945?

Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX, Resident Evil, Tekken 1-3, Legend of Dragoon, Alundra, Tombi 2... but all in all.. I prefer my PS2.
I think my favorite Sony game is Try Keeping This System Alive and Fully Functional. I've yet to meet anyone who has won the game.
Ever wonder how they've sold 40 million PS2s? Yeah, everyone buys replacements; I know a guy who's run through 5.

Ok, I'm not arguing against the fact that sony makes shoddy consoles, but five? What does your friend do? Did he try and play a laser disk in one , or was he saldering in a mod chip, which he only learned to do through an online tutorial. Actually, that would be degrading to online tutorials. How do you go through five?
dang, I got mine in Summer 2001 (used), and I haven't had any problems with it, besides the fact that the dual shock vibration thing has never worked despite me getting a brand new controller.
those things are so irritating....it's impossible to focus on playing a game when the controller thing goes crazy on your hand!
Hm. Uh.. is the little light in the middle of the controller glowing? That would indicate that it's enabled in the controller. It's always on as you play PS2 games, but not PS1.
Also, most games allow you to turn vibration on/off within their menus; some games vibrate by default, and some don't. Funny world we live in.

My other PS controller sounds like a dying fly when it is supposed to "vibrate"...OMG that sounds perverted...Yacky...Sony is now at ---toybusiness...That controller shakes very much in the start if MGS when Hind-D rises...I think i should stop writing...
I hate that vibration thing too...it loosens your grip. I mean did Sony just take the vibrator in a dildo and put it in there? It's just too strong.
Five?! Ive had one for two years...

I'm on my second PS1, but the first went for good reason. I did achive year ~7600 in sim city 2000. And boy, did it run slooooow after that.. All that leaving it on for months, nay, years straight just didn't turn out right in the end. It still works, but I got another so that game's wouldn't hang. What really pisses me off, if the fact that a slight power surge/outage or physical drop messes up the controllers. Ie, I have one that turns from analog to digital randomly, and another than constantly repeats the l2 button.
Anyway, Breath of fire III is okay, I like Wipeout (1) and In the Hunt, and the Air/Ace combat 1 and 3 Roxor (as long as it's the imported version for 3), but these games pale to the scheer mind-numbing complexity, and the quaint backround music to...

I bought PS1 a year after it was released, and it still works perfectly. The laser thing on it did break once, but that was propably because my mother had stacked a ton of books on the console.
Unfortunately, my PS2 started acting peculiar shortly after I got it. I loathe the danged thing now.
Then again, its problems could be attributed to my highly destructive autistic sister..

Oh ya Wipeout! I remember that game. It was so simple yet so fun. Racing with weapons...although I got motion sick easy playing.

Since I've never played on any of those video game machines, this might be a stupid question, but why buy a sony (from reading the posts, sony doesn't sound that reliable) when there are so many other brands out there? What are the merits and drawbacks between the different ones? I'm possibly interested in buying one but don't know which one. But I'd like one that has it's own screen (maybe), larger the better. Or even getting a laptop. Haven't made up my mind.
Well, I don't have bad experiences of sony's consoles and they have more games than the others.
And plus, Sony's games tend to have more adult/realistic graphics, compared to Nintendo's kiddy technicolor animations. I've never played/seen an x-box, so about that, I don't know.
X-Box is pretty cool, almost similar to PS2 in my opinion, but they have less games and the controller is kind of a molo.
Why someone would by X-Box, a console created by the creators of most loved PC product in the world, called Windows?
why does everyone (at least most people here) hate windows and still use it?

Windows '98 sent me plenty of blue screens of death and had some very annoying features. ME has sent me all of 0 blue screens, I believe, and fixed the annoying bits (i.e., I now have an "open with" option when I right click.)
You know, it is possible to recover from the BSofD, but it is quite rare...
the controller is kind of a molo.
Hahahaha!! Molomainen ohjain.
