The most amazing and disgusting thing just happened and I need help. I was browsing the internet and had a list of different sites to choose from to visit. I had clicked on several that were perfectly normal and sane. Then I clicked on a site that is teen porn with horrific and nasty images. I was shocked and exited right away after realizing what the site was about. But now this dang site has taken over my homepage and won't go away no matter what I do. It keeps coming back and I don't know how to get rid of it. I want yahoo back. Can someone help?

Go into TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS (assuming you're using Internet Explorer) and on the General Tab is Home Page... which you can reset.

If this site has done more, like putting cookies etc on your computer to track... or even messed with reg keys etc you can try using something like Lavasoft Ad-aware software to remove this sort of stuff.

I luv ya man. Yes, it was under the internet options and I fixed it back to the way it was. How in the world can a site just take over like that? That should be illegal or something. Especially since it wouldn't let me go anywhere else. The only way I got here was to exit off the net and click on the dink shortcut on desktop. I was so relieved to get here! Simon, you are my hero. I will go check the cookies like you said. Have the most beautiful day, my hero.

Merlin, you pervert. Seriously tho, How I can be so naive with four brothers amazes me. This site's home page had so many graphic images downloading that it took me a minute to realize what I was looking at. There were even live action pictures in little boxes that took me a sec to understand. Only portions of bodies were shown. And what portions! I'll try to get that address for you.

Ya know if someone gets in your house illegaly you can kill them.If someone gets in your computer you can't do much, why can't you kill them too? Its still private property.

They now call it a "drive- by hacking". Definatly get Ad-aware by Lavasoft. Its like a virus scanner for such things.

IF someone breaks into your house, you can actually grab them and break the bast**ds neck straight away.
If they hack into your computer, you can't physically hurt them... not straight away at least.

If someone gets in your house illegially, you can call the police. do something else, and you're the one who's gonna pay. that's how things work in finland, heh.

talking of computer invasions, I have this suck-up called "orbit explorer" on my computer.
Whenever I don't find a page (when I write the address wrong etc.), I get sent to orbit explorer homepage. I used to have an orbit explorer search banner too, but I managed to get rid off it and other stuff. But I want to get rid off orbit explorer completely. So anyone know how I could do it?

doesn't work. I even tried searching everything with the word "orbit" on my computer and deleting those files, but it didn't work either.

For the third or fourth time in this thread, try Ad-Aware. Should help you delete all adware/spyware.

Daniel, there are clowns.
Hmm... I've been using the lesser known Spybot S&D for quite a while now. I started using it after Ad Aware stopped updating their libraries for like a year. I've been very happy with it.

My tip would be to search your registry for it. Go to the run menu, and type "regedit", then go Edit -> Search, and type "orbit" or something.

I agree with Tal (yikes! ) Ad-Adware is one of the best and I upgrade it every couple of weeks or so. (Did Striker have the Old version?)

It's the same here Scratcher. Kill the person who's breaking into your house and go to jail. It's been in the news a lot lately because of jewelers getting robbed more and more and now they're taking actions for themselves.

Hmmm... regedit is pretty fun, but not as fun as resarting in dos, using the ms-dos text editor, and editing explorer.exe. You can really screw things up, but i used a book to guide me. My start button now says "f**k!" .
