I spent New Years Eve moving furniture and cleaning rooms. w00t!
Hah! You can't catch Striker! He's like a pixie, you'll try to grab him, but he'll fly through your fingers and foil your get rich quick scheme to find the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow!
I don't want the pot of gold , just those pesky little dust bolls. Anyone got a can of dust'b'gone?
I think safmoor just said Striker is a fairy.

Not a fairy, but definitely a magical creature, or so my girlfriend says.
It's just us strange Finns, and Phoenix this year, who melt tin. (I got a helmet)
Melting tin? Is that some kind of tradition? I never heard of it, but it sounds interesting.
Indeed, melting tin sounds fun. Melting Dinkers sounds more fun though...
some old lady told me that if you run around your house three times barefoot on christmas eve-you will be healthy next year.so i did.but it was not the coldness of the ground, but the hardness of ot that made it realy painful
Hmm . . . hurting yourself attempting to do something that will make you healthy. There's an irony in there somewhere . . .
How do you melt this tin? Like, in a pot on the stove or something?
My grandmother, who was from England, once told me when I was a child that if you say the word "rabbit" at the beginning of a new month you'll have good luck for that month. I have my doubts about that one, yet I still say "rabbit" fanatically at the start of a new month or year.

We melt tin by putting it on a hot stove or fireplace in a pot or similar and wait until it melts. Then we pour the hot tin quickly into a bucket with cold water in it. The tin cools and stiffens. Then we try to guess what does the tin piece look like.
Ithink it looks like... tin? NO, WIAT! Melted tin! That's the one!
