You can't force "funny comments". It'll result in bad humour, unless you're an expert or a natural. And if you're that, you don't create topics about it but it comes out spontaneously and unexpected.

Making a joke wouldn't be "your" funniest comment, unless you made up the joke and it IS hilarious.
