Ok-now the credits section of this DMOD is not quite done yet, so don't come running to me on a trojan horse saying "YOU PUT SUCH-AND-SUCH IN YOUR DMOD WITHOUT PUTTING IN THIS PERSONS NAME".
also this file took a week or so to upload and this is a bit out-dated. any suggestions on the magic are welcome, since in the newer version (on my computer) has fixed itself (how the hell???) but there are still bugs withing the magic. when the game is loaded it doesn't automatically load the sellected magic, and every now and then it won't charge. but overall it worx, it's just that the one i ulpoaded doesn't at all (i think)

I think yu mean about the fireball.Geez why don't you use fireball script from develop folder?
i DID use the dang fireball script from DINK. anyway thats not the problem, it's something else

Yes, please update and fix the magic - this looks like a good game. Pity the magic doesn't fix itself on my computer!
i have uploaded an update somewhere on the web, but it can only be accessed via an FTP client, which sucks. the reason it is "somewhere" is because CHD's host only supports a few file extensions. and here it takes ages for the upload to be available to public
I'm sure there's a simpler way than that. There's plenty of free file storage sites, here's first on the list in google...
i am going to upload version 0.5 to this site, although i am only just making 0.3 at the moment. so it may take a while for the update. anyway, if you want it you can read the numerous dev threads on CHD (http://chaoticdink.awesomewebspace.com/forum)

version 0.3 is almost complete, just a few obvious errors (that will take a while to fix-for example: 20 screens full of trees, all without hardness). once i have done that i will distribute it amongst the CHD beta testers and start working on 0.4, and then, after that, i will make 0.5. finally.
all those desa fans out there, DESA 0.3 is being released this month!

Why don't you just complete your DMOD and release that? Exactly what are you trying to achieve by releasing it every time you add a feature? By the time you get to v1.0, people will be so tired of your DMOD that they don't want to go through all they went through in v0.1 to v0.9 again, that they just won't bother playing. 'tis my prophecy.
with each new version, it adds at least 10 new things
ten new updates, such as a bunchof bugfixes, more scenery, added functionality, or advancments in the story
I think we would all still prefer that you do as much work as you can before releasing any version.
I found a save game leading to the iceland!
that was for development. anyway, the bug with magic is weird, because no magic will work when you start, but if you save and quit and load your game magic works
Does the playable game stop at the goblin hut?
no, the playable game stops at the dungeon. if it is the goblin hut in the cave at the begginning of the game after you get kidnapped by the evil wizard, then i don't know why you can't progress any further. go in the hut and there should be an octoganal room. in it is a few walls aranged like this : [ walk in it and talk to it and then you can continue
Nothing except the warp back to the dungeon is working. I checked it with DinkEdit too, and there's nothing but the walls and the hole.

-start-
go in dinks house
look at poster
go outside
-snow-
go down a screen
depending on what version of DESA you may have there should be a staircase
-cave-
go into one of the right holes (cant remember which one but if you get it wrong get out quickly)
go down a screen
go inside the little hut
-hut-
there should be a few walls near the middle of the screen
walk into them fromthe right
talk
choose "use booth"
-hospital-
you find out about the booth if you talk to the first nurse, just a bit of sick humour nothing neccesary to know
go downstairs
walk outside
-snow-
go exploring (there are secrets here. one is a bar, kind of a joke, and the other is the ultra secret i think)
go up a few screens and left, you will find martridge
talk to get ice ball
go left a few screens and find the opening (it takes up two screens. hard to miss if you go exploring. up a screen and left from the hospital i think)
go across, go down until noth the first turnoff, but the second
go left
-battle-
after cutscene is evil wizard and you in a battle
he is a bit difficult, it is a good idea to find the nukes but the way back tosnow is bugged
after you have killed him its a bit bugged but works, go up to the top corner (stand on the stairs) and press space i think

I updated my DESA version, and it still has a warp stone, three caves with slayers, and no booth in the hut.
are there any walls in the hut that arnt connected to the edges? is that 'warp stone' inside the hut? or is it the stone one screen below the evil wizard at the start?
if the later is true (stone at the evil wizard) then you don't have the most recent version. the most recent one is 0.3 and i believe the hut booth issues have been resolved, thanx to the beta testers

How am I suppposed to know its version?
if you check in the front-end, (if your using DFArc2, i dont know about the others) the description will say somewhere 'DESA v0.3' or something. Or you could just open up dmod.diz and check that. its in the first line, you cant miss it

every time i go to play it i click start then i get past the talking part and then a message pops up saying it errored and needs to close
