ok, a man gets into a town on friday, spent 3 days and 3 nights and left on friday, how is this possible?

He's in a country where 'days' and 'nights' are some form of currency, like coins or bills?

Edit: actually, magicman is correct, he rode into town on a horse named friday, and left on a horse named friday.

There is a chicken, a wolf, and a sack of chicken feed. A man wants to get all 3 things across a river, but his boat can only hold 1 thing besides himself. How can you get the 3 items across the river without the chicken eating the feed or the wolf eating the chicken?

Ok...I think i came up with my own riddle, hehehe. A man was found dead in the basement from a hard hit into the head. He had a cracked skull and was bleeding. There was a tall wooden shelf behind where the man was. The shelf was standing right next to the wall with a crack on the top shelf. There was a can next to him and a picture of a man and a tree in front of him on the floor. No one had broken into the house and he lived alone. How did he die and what was his job?

He went to the basement to look at the picture of a man and a tree, and as he took it off the shelf, he slightly shaked it (sounded better in my head), and the shelf with a can of paint or something cracked and the can hit him on his head and fell to the floor, and he began to bleed with a cracked skull?

the man was painting the picture and decided to hand his master piece above the shelf. the step on the empty paint can and started to hang up the picture and the can rolled from underneath him causing him to fall and bash his head on the shelf with such a force that his skull crack and he broke the shelf and the picture fell beside him.

NamH666: wow, that made sense, but it wasn't the answer i made up, but i can say your right.

The answer was:
The man was painting the picture, and suddenly the top shelf snapped and a can of paint came down, and hit his head. (of no importance but logical) the can was about 1.5 pounds and when it collided with the head, the bone snapped, or broke. so the man died bleeding and had a fractured skull and the painting fell onto the floor.

I still don't get what the tree was doing in th basement. Maybe he should have painted a fireball scroll instead of a picture of a man.
