Striker recently made ma a green Knight, and I was wondering, what is the easiest way to change sprites colours so you can have variations of monsters? Diferent colour knights, boncas, pillbugs etc??

It's probably very simple, but unfortunately, so am I!!

Don't, it's very cheesy and space wasting.. either make new, or don't make any at all..

It's not "cheesy and pace wasting"!! It's a good way to add some variation in a d-mod, if the graphic is done well. Especially if your the new creature, in an alt hero d-mod...Maybe for the comp, in fact.

It's pretty easy, really. Download Dimage from Someone and pick your color

You could always use a program such as Paintshop Pro to replace colors or add a colored shade.

I agree. New colors can add depth, even though it is just a cosmetic change.

Reading that a second time, it sounds a bit sarcastic...but that's probably just me being paranoid.

Graphics is my area :D, and I hate color tinted graphics..

Why?? They can be just as good as regular gfx! And a nice way to give an Alt hero a bit more character.

because where I come from we have color tinting calculated in real-time, or we have none at all..

I'm gonna make a new hero pack, and give him items, spells etc.

If it's just a tinted character I doubt he will be released as a d-net file..

I had originally thought Sabre would be using the graphics for a d-mod, which is why I made them. I learned from Ghost Knight 2.0 Yes, it was really easy and cheap, but he doesn't have Paint Shop Pro and it would be really hard to do with MSPaint.

Hopefully, he'll be able to turn this stuff into something decent.

And why don't you back your point u[p with some reasons??

I'm just saying that changing even cosmetic things can give a dmod a slightly fresh look. If done well, you can create a new character. I made Sid in LOT from Dink's graphics (obviously), but you don't really look at him and say "that's just dink with different clothes" (hopefully ) A 'tinted' color change would be the easiest and

(if it looks good) give the sprite a fresh look that at least I would appreciate if not others. Remember though, if it isn't good, it will look really bad.

If you don't have a good image editor to work in, it may be too much of a task to do well .

Anyway, about the hero pack, why not. I wouldn't say it is a brilliant idea, but to call it 'the worst idea ever' is a bit of a stretch. Why people must be so negative towards others is a mystery to me...

Honest, and a detailed few points on what you think to my idea. Just what I wanted. Unlike BunnieMaster and Eldron, you don't simply scoff and dismiss the idea, but look at it's merits and bad points.

You bring up Sid, an excellent example. Nobody see's Sid as Dink in new clothes, at least I didn't. My new hero won't be as good as Sid was, but maybe in the future, I will do something a lot better.

I agree that my file won't be the greatest in the world, but I think it's worthwhile, and I enjoy creating this.

Funny isn't it, how one of the greatest Dinkers ever (If redink is King of d-mods, Wesley is the prince) can look at my file from all angles, yet two dinkers without a single good file (to my knowledge and opinion)call it a waste of time?
