D-Mod Development Thread & Projects
I've begun with a neat project that I'd like to share some of its progress with you all
I thought, “why make a thread on just that? Wouldn't that be boring?” Maybe... Anyway, I came up with the idea that this could be a thread there EVERYONE that are working on something could post their progress, screenshots and such
So, I'm going to submit some screenshot in shortly of my current project. It look quite nice actually.

I'm still working on Crisis of Cara I've also been fiddling with an NPC buddy system in which you have a sidekick computer friend you can switch back and forth from. I came up with story ideas for two more DMODs (maybe a third as well) but I doubt I'll get anything released besides Crisis of Cara

I'm working on a D-Mod but don't want to say much about it yet. Most of the basic map is done so still some way to go.
I uploaded a little thing to help when making D-Mods, similar to the info from Ultimate Cheat but quicker and easier, with other stuff. Made it for myself really but others might like it
I've also finished a script to make Dink do/say something when left alone for a while, which was great fun making. Going to be used in my D-Mod. Thanks to all those who helped me with this when I started

Well, I have a mostly functional mouse interface for controlling Dink. I uploaded it a couple of days ago but it is currently in pending status.
I also have updated Red Shield, CFE1 and CFE2, and have most of a tutorial finished I'm much more interested in feedback for the mouse interface though, so I'm not going to release them for maybe a week after the file is made public on DN.
I also have a set of scripts for controlling Dink with the keys to move and mouse to aim, and another set for two Dinks and a currently semi-functional split screen. They all share a lot of code and work by similar principles. But I much prefer the mouse interface, so I've stopped working on the others.

I've focused a lot on the fighting part in my D-Mod and added many new enemies.

The scripts aren't finished though, but you can see what it does. In fact, I just fixed the two main problems I had with it when I made that release. The first button press is no longer lost when a choice_menu comes up and Dink is now capable of shooting in an (essentially) infinite number of directions! The arrow's shadow now goes thru the cursor every time. I tested the code with the fireball spewing pillbug, and he never misses Dink while he is not moving, too.

i've always wanted to play rts on dink, that would be awesome! and it looks great at the moment!

Nice, Carrie Like both screenshots! Dinkdude, what ever happened to Frozen in Time? Weren't you almost done? Anyway, your screenshots look very nice too; I really like the atmosphere in the second one!

Did Rabidwolf9 make a mouse interface too? I don't see it in his files. If blackguard wants to use my scripts, then he is welcome to do so, since that's why I released them.
Carrie, the fireball spewing pillbug is in the file I posted a URL to. In the currently uploaded version, he can only shoot in about 50 directions, which means he sometimes misses. But I updated the code and now he can shoot in millions of directions so he never misses still targets.

No, I did not The only thing I've ever done with the mouse is that recent tutorial. I had plans to make a shop script that is controlled by the mouse, but I never got around to it.
I do like your file, It's quite impressive. I noticed that when you equip your sword (even if you unequip it) using your fire spell and switching modes (melee to ranges and such) crashes the game.

About writing a tutorial... The website of Blender comes with plenty of those. It's not easy, and I myself still have plenty to learn.

Well right now I'm working on three D-Mods. See my profile, what they are. I'll finish them in the order they are, from up to down. Also, a project, that will be buried for now. Atleast until the Fall of Darkness is done. It's name is the Shadow of the stranger. Right now, it has only a title and it's music.
