Just your stupid american
Hey I know nothing about Celsius and I am too fat and lazy to look it up...
What is the "threshold" of 'hot' and 'cold' in celsius?
What is the "threshold" of 'hot' and 'cold' in celsius?
it brought up a porn site...
I consider >30 to be hot. Knowing that the average body temperature is about 37 degrees, that means...
I dont know whats worse...me joking about the porn, or you spelling out lol...
Well, personally, anything below 15 - 20 degrees C below is getting there (that's just under 0 F I think) and anything abouve 15 is nice out. +25, it's getting a bit stifling.
Realise that I bike when it gets more than 40 below out, so my ideas may be a bit skewed.

Wow that crazy, I think about 90F is hot (32C) and 60F is cold (16C)...but of course I live in the extremely hot a humid capital of the world...
Edit: its 61F today and everyone in my programming class that I am in is wearing jackets...
But I think I will lower my 'cold' limit to about 50-55F

It's celcius where I lives... like +20*C is perfect I think...
Besides... Where I live it's cold when it's -15*c

Bah bet it also depends on the wind.It feels much colder when there's a strong wind from the north.
And on the humidity. If the air was all dry and calm, I could propably do well in -100 C.
t(F)=(9/5)*t(C)+32
Well, dry air does make it easier to bear the -30 to -40°C (-22 to -40°F) spells so stupidly common in the Northern Finnish mid-winter... It feels much colder in the coastal cities at -20°C (-4°F). I have no idea, but without wind or much humidity... Vukodlak may well have a point there
It was about -20°C once when I was in New Mexico and it didn't feel that bad. I like cold weather more than hot weather- I REALLY hate how it will get to be 40°C here in the summer, and then it will stay that way until about mid-September. Plus, if your cold, you can always put a jacket on or something - can't do that in hot weather.
you can strip...or atleast thats what I do...
Mardi gras, Easter, Christmas with the family...anytime is stripping time.
Remember that after about 45-50 below, there is no moisture *left* in the air. I've been outside on some 45-55 below days, and I don't like biking in that kind of weather.

Well, I'll make sure to get you some undies for Christmas then

It's realy cool when you go out when it's about -30 and put on a big scarf that covers the whole of your face except the eyes. And when you bretathe the steam freezes on your eyelashes and your eyes get stuck!
You poor boy...forget the Africans...someone raise money for him! This guy is in desperate need...of a pair of goggles or somethin.
I saw video once of a guy in Lapland, he had a pan full of boiling water, he threw it up into the air and it froze before it hit the ground- apparently it was an especially cold winter.
That's not especially cold. Now, when you go outdoors and imediatly spit, and it freezes in your mouth, *thats* cold.
I have thankfully never yet experienced that.
I don't think that's possible.That boiling water thing.
Actually, I read somewhere that it is possible, but the temperature should be less than -150 C.
In fact it can work perfectly fine for much higher temperatures (like -30C or something, I don't know exactly). But the water has to be boiling, it doesn't work with cold water. (it's called the Mpemba effect)
Well, yeah, it's not *quite* like that. You get about half of it out, and the ice goes up you spittle and into your mouth. Your mouth, during the second half of the spiting process should be open as well.
I don't think the Mpemba effect means anything at this current matter.I don't think that a pot of water, boiling or non-boiling, can freeze that quickly in these condtions.
