Instead of the usual hodge-podge of poll comments and rants, this Recondite will detail a few issues that have plagued The Dink Network over the past couple weeks.

Domain Name

I forgot to renew the Domain Name (dinksmallwood.net) until I started getting reports of it not working. So I enter in my Credit Card information, and all seems well. Then I just checked the status yesterday, and it said that I should have received an e-mail verifying my purchase within a day. By that time it had been nearly two weeks, and I hadn't received an e-mail.

So I renewed it again. Hopefully it should be back soon.

Staff Situation

As far as I'm concerned, WC is no longer on the staff. It started a couple months ago, when he informed me that he would be leaving in a few months to go into the army/navy/pizza-company service or something.

Then a month ago, he removed his access to the administration portion of the site, so he couldn't post news, delete message board posts, and so on. He told me he wanted to see if anyone would notice he wasn't doing anything. It was around this time he posted the 'Should WC leave?' poll.

Then (around July 3rd, according to Chrispy) he removed himself from the Staff page and cleared his contact information from his User page.

I take that as a pretty hefty sign of resignation.

And no, I'm not currently looking for more staff.

Evil Hero D-Mod Contest Winner

... is still to be decided. So far Kyle and Tal have played through the 5 D-Mods. With WC out of the picture, Dukie and myself still have to play through them. I've managed to go through 3 of them, and still have to go through Twins and Rascal.

Too bad about WC, we may have had our disagreements, but I'll miss him... He yelled at the n00bs so I wouldn't have to!

I'm pretty sure its the third, cause thats when a bunch of his messages were deleated.. It's gonna be different, thats for sure.

That's what I thought too. I thought he would be back after being in some bootcamp for a couple of months.

Well, he always said I was in training to be the new "donkey of the board" once he left, but I just don't think I'm cut out for that kind of yelling and flaming and using the face.

Hey all you dinkers out there. KI is trying to be the new WC. Same attitude, different approach. Cept you had to admire WC for his honesty and real feelings. This KI guy is so phony. He's trying to offend everyone so he can laugh bout it. He's hiding behind the anonymity of the internet to spread his version of hate and discontent because he wants the attention. Therefore, the best thing you can do is ignore him.
OH to have WC back to handle this guy! He would blast this joker into hyperspace. WC could be bad but he was good when he was bad.

KI, what is your problem? Either you are a 12 year old fool who has yet to grow a single hair (or any maturity whatsoever) from your little pink chinny-chin-chin.
What's your problem with WC? Sure, he can be a bit aggressive and harsh, but he was respected for it, because he got the job done, and people knew he was fair...usually.
WC wasn't perfect, Christ I hated that son-of-a-gun sometimes, but I realized that he played a very large part in keeping ignorant children like you out of this place.
You act like WC, but in a snidish, girly (no offense to you wonderful gals on the network) and pathetic way. You can't take a proper argument, because you crumple like a piece of paper that has been caught in the hands of a gorilla. Instead, you throw in a cack insult (like that stupid laugh thing you do) and hide safe in the knowledge that over the net, we cannot actually shatter your bones.
You seem to be chronically jealous that anybody has more power on this network than you. First complaining about how no decent authors have arrived recently (when plenty have...you NOT being one of them), before having a go at the n00b-cannon now he is not here to rip you to shreds.
