I finally managed to get the "light
sword", (doesn't make that much difference),
and I went back to "T. of E.", but I CAN'T
figure out how to get past those darn
spears (is there a trick I should know
about?); if that wasn't bad enough, those tiny "f@&#%ng" pillbugs are gonna give me
nightmares! Can't round them up close
enough for hellfire (takes too long to load anyway), and they move Way too fast! Also, I've tried hitting the posts with hellfire, but it didn't work?! Fire clouds
keep on comming! Anyone else want to take my place in this d-mod? Any help would be APPRECIATED!

Temple of Encients?

You just have to dodge the fire clouds, I think they go round in a circle or pattern so just aim for the gaps.

I can't remember if you get herb boots in this, but if not buy a few featherfeet potions from the lady in the village and they might help with the spears.

You don't appreciate completing dmods on your own, do you? Always asking for help for EVERY little problem you get across. The whole point of games like these is to figure out how to do stuff yourself. Imagine playing Final Fantasy games (for the first time) sitting there with a full guide to completing the game, and as soon as you come across the tiniest little problem, you look it up in the guide to get further... I really fail to see the enjoyment of it.

Same goes with you.

I already bought "herb boots", and I've
watched the "fireclouds" (not too hard),
my biggest weakness is with the spears, and I haven't even seen a "slayer" yet? I
don't think I've gotten deep enough--HOW
will I get out???

I won't even to bother to answer your inquirie.
P.S. As far as I know: "Final Fantasy"
was an incredible piece of animation!
By the way; have you seen "Immortal"?

You can't keep your mouth shut, can you? Always complaining about EVERY little peeve you come across. The whole point of forums like these is to assist people and have pleasant discussions. Imagine receiving a steak dinner for two without having to pay a thing for it, and as soon as you realize you received three fewer fries than your partner, you harass the kitchen staff as if they're completely incompetent... I really fail to see the point of it.

Same goes with you.

Yeowwwwwch! I almost got burned from the flames on this thread.

In some way I have to kind of agree with Lance, and at the same time I agree with Phoenix. I myself have posted a ton of probably what are considered "lame help requests." Why? more immediate help by those who have passed before me, plus the friendliness of the board. here are times I have worked out some of the problems, and times I haven't. My excuse for doing so: too many to list, and no one would really care.

Suffice it to say I am physically disabled, and the computer is one of the few enjoyments of entertainment I have. I would much rather ask on a particular problem and receive an answer or hint, than read through a cheat sheet or walkthrough.

But now that I know the type of reception these types of questions are met with, I'll try and refrain from posting any more, and I will email the moderator of the board and ask him to remove any posts I have made in these regards, as I don't want to be the catalyst for hard feelings.

Those are my thoughts. Happy Holidays all. Peace on earth and goodwill towards all.

"But now that I know the type of reception these types of questions are met with,"

It's not necessarily everyone's reaction, even if some fail to see the enjoyment in it does not mean we all do. Obviously I can't speak for everyone, but I for one don't mind these questions and sure there are others. That is what the board is for, after all.

Lance: I stated very plainly that I wasn't addressing you at all. Perhaps you should practice your reading comprehension.

Also, as a moderator of this forum, I have sort of an obligation to read your posts regardless of whether I have any interest in them or not. Granted, I have gone AWOL for weeks/months at a time and I will admit to occasionally skipping over something, but it is my sworn duty (haha) to monitor the board whenever I'm able and I will continue to do so.

You should probably stop where you are before you wind up confusing yourself further.

Personally, I don't recomend that kind of
attitude: "You'll just get meaner, and wind up "Hating" yourself!

I'll tell you: When I was in college,
I was an "English/Lit" student. I'm
Trying to be serious here!
Anyway, this punctuation format is what
I had drilled into my head (it's supposed
to be the correct English style), so
don't worry about my "dots and dashes"
type of writing!
I understand that no-one knows what a
"caps lock" button in this "Modern" age;
but try getting a novel published without
it!?!?!?
December 1st 2007, 03:08 PM
dinkdead.gif
I must say I've never read a novel written in that way.
Almost everyone here capitalizes properly, so why complain about that? And it's easier (at least for me) to use shift rather than caps lock unless you're typing LOTS IN A ROW.

I was wondering the same as Phoenix but didn't like to ask... now I'm even more curious as I'd never have thought this style was taught in colleges. Maybe for poetry? (!?!?!? )

Btw don't take this badly, I'm interested, not just criticizing for the sake of it.

Double quotes should be used only at certain moments (like quoting someone, insinuating something, being sarcastic, giving something a name), but you're using them more than is necessary, actually.

His uppercase typing kind of reminds me of how comics are often written, with every second word in bold for emphasis.

In Norway, we celebrate Yule. Yes, yes, I know it's the same, but it has nothing to do with Christ and Christianity, and so I don't really care for the word "Christmas".

*Lance* ...Sucks don't it?!

For sure. Unfortunately, I have several issues that hit me at once. But I try not to complain, I'm just thankful I am still alive and kicking.

*Phoenix* ...so I don't really care for the word "Christmas".

I always try my best not to let semantics get in my way. Everyone is entitled to celebrate holidays in their own way, and in a world of mixed nationalities its often confusing to completely understand the "meaning" of a certain holiday as it is celebrated by a given nationality. I try to find a common ground so it can be enjoyable for all.
