Comp Games
Does anyone play any of the following games:
>Baldurs Gate I/II
>Freelancer
>Tiberian Sun
>AoE I/II
>Emperor:Rise of the Middle Kingdom
>Starcraft:Brood War
>Baldurs Gate I/II

>Emperor:Rise of the Middle Kingdom
>Starcraft:Brood War
I used to play AoE. Maybe I should play it again, sometime.
I found Starcraft to be a bit boring.

I did a whirl once with Baldurs Gate Trilogy:The Big Picture, but I'm guessing that's not what you are looking for.
Well, I have played the Baldur's Gate trilogy (if you count ToB, which is a pretty significant expansion)
I used to play Freelancer both online and offline.
And of course, I played Brood War, though I was much better at single player than multi. And if you found Starcraft to be boring (especially when compared to the plodding pace of AoE)... you're playing it wrong.

Eh, it's moreso that there's a mod to put the original Baldur's gate as a mod of BGII:TOB. Then they throw in another 6 or 7 HUGE mods, lots of bug fixes and tweaks, new over-map, and then clean it up so it's possible to run on realistic hardware. It's nearly the same game, but not quite.
BGII:TOB (ooo, nearly wrote SOB...) runs at full graphical and full hardware everything on my comp. So is my comp extra good, or have I misunderstood what you said.
Ah, I understand what you're saying. It's like having Baldur's Gate I + maybe tales of the sword coast with Throne of Bhaal's classes, items, and abilities.
That's pretty cool, considering I abandoned my Ranger in favor of creating a Monk. Cheesed out natural immunities and abilities are fun. Then again, the only things more toothless than low-level monks are maybe low level wizards.

It's more a problem that there is about 8gB (uncompressed) worth of mods added to a normal BGII install. They 'biff' (no, I don't know what that means) a massive override folder down to nearly nothing, just so the game can actually run. I think it's basically just a fancy system of memory calls, as opposed to keeping the whole override folder in your RAM.
Oh, and did I mention that there are optional LV 50 rulesets? For all classes? So if you want a level 50 mage/fighter/thief... What's 75,000,000 exp between friends?
I've played Tiberian Sun both compaigns and alot of skirmish vs. computer. I have yet to play it online though since I got it after it got very old. There does exist a fan site that maintains online servers to play Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 online and recently I've been playing alot of Red Alert 2 online. If you want any information just ask and I'll direct you to the site so you can play online. It's free and only takes a few minutes to figure out how to register.
Sincerely,
