Sorry, I'm not nagging or anything, but everybody had a go at me when I asked about a week ago, saying it would be out on the 10th. I was also wondering when DOTY is done. As for the Comp, I can't really think of anything...but there must be many good ones, like...Arcade game (like Dink Racer, Dink goes Trick or Treating) or perhaps...that's all I can think of right now¬

Ehm... Sabre meant a separate contest, not DOTM related. Besides, DOTM includes all files. Though the idea isn't bad. Perhaps for a DOTY?

Well, it was me who said you should post such a question again since the last one added a nice thread to the board, so who am I to complain? And I thought it would be posted on the 14th, btw...

Yeah... that DOTM announcement took the life out of me But actually, I've been working on the new message board (which rocks). Its really cool... a lot better than this one. Its nearly done too.

As for the contest... I'm not sure. I do want the following:

* 3 Month Time Limit

* Not Based On Existing D-Mod Story/Maps

* Limited Theme

* Limited Screens (150?)

* Probably no file-size limit

But other than that... I'm not sure. The anti-hero idea sounds cool. I'm not sure about the humor idea, it just seems too subjective.

There will also be some sort of prizes, either items from the Dink Network Store, or (possibly) cash prizes.

What I'm not sure on is: How are we going to judge them? Obviously, because of prizes, the Dink Network staff would not be eligible to win. So perhaps the staff could choose a winner.

And if anyone else can think of any cool themes for the contest, let me know (aka reply).

Main character must be evil, an anti-hero, a right b*****d. As with the alt hero comp, you must use sprites from the original Dink only (albeit they can be modified).

Must be released by the end of March (if it was started today...a 1 and a half month deadline sounds good to me).

No more than 150 screens.

Must be NEW, not based on anything done before (I couldn't release Nerux).

Not based on any plot from the original Dink.

Max file size 3 meg.

Sure, I'm willing to judge them with the other staff members. Not having a size limit will turn it into an unfair contest however as graphic wizards like SimonK and Tullusti can easily get a few points in because of their new graphics. File size limit = OK if there's a new graphics limit.

Not if it is done as it was last time, with the Alternatieve Hero Contest, and all Dinkers can vote.
