DinkC Reference: The Book - Pictures
The DinkC Reference next to Mastering Regular Expressions. As you can see, DinkC Reference is roughly the same size as other technical books. The cover is quite glossy and good looking.
When the DinkC Reference is placed on Mastering Regular Expressions, you can clearly see that it isn't quite as thick. DinkC Reference only weighs in at about 160 pages while Mastering Regular Expressions is just under 500. Also, the bent corner of the DinkC Reference is my own dumb fault, when it arrived it was flawless.
DinkC Reference actually has content.
There are a number of pictures in the book as they don't cost anything extra, and there was some whitespace lying around. This screenshot was from Dink Blackwood, and seemed fitting.
One bad thing about the DinkC Reference is the pages are quite yellow in comparison to the pristine white pages of Mastering Regular Expressions.

No, it is a cleverly disguised banana.
It looks pretty good. Why don't you release it pdf?
Because it has already been released as a chm?
A .CHM is a HTML Help file (yeah, not the best acronym ever made...), and it should open automatically in Windows 98 (possibly second edition) or later.

.pdf, .chm, wtf?
lol I often find myself thinking the same thing.
Why can't people just use HTML?

Umm hello, a .chm IS a bundle of HTMLs tied together, but with category listings etcetera. It's MUCH better than the HTML pages just loose.
Yeah, PDF belongs to Adobe Reader. Most people have that, too.

I have the .chm version, but the pdf would really look like a book(with pictures and so...).
Maybe he just doesn't want to deal with the mediocrity of Adobe Reader. Hey, let's see how many crashes we can produce and resources we can hog with one program!
