Do you play a musical instrument?
Skull's post over in Krisknox's thread got me curious. Do you guys play anything? I play the piano and French horn. Well, not much these days, but I did for most of my growing up years. But I might be playing the piano or keyboard regularly at my church soon.
I used to play the clarinet, but I sucked so I quit.
A saxophone doesn't count? You should play some Irish folk instrument. Uilleann pipes or something.
I play guitar, I'm going to buy an electric one tomorrow
THEREMIN!! Awwwwww Yeaaaaaa
Inspired by my father who could pick up any instrument - whether he had seen it before or not - and within 30 mins or so could play something beautiful, I grew up loving any form of music. As a kid I was forced to learn the violin, ending up in an orchestra (ran for the hills as soon as i could...) had a go at a piano accordian (another instrument dad always played) then taught myself the guitar and basic piano.
We were never allowed to play the flute as kids, because the notes are different on the bagpipes which a fair few of my family play and it would have messed up the future pipers in the family haha. I even had a go at the bagpipes myself and can play one tune on the chanter hehe (you learn on a chanter then progress to the pipes) but alas desiring to keep my err nether region intact (heh) I didn't go any further.
Every paddock party we had (bonfire booze, music and idiots in a paddock), we would bring out the pipes or the uilleann pipes, if the older blokes came they would bring a banjo or a piano accordian and we would go nuts... eventually wearing out the oldies but it wasnt until after all the oldies went home that the night would actually begin... *wink*
Ahh memories... I count myself lucky to have had a childhood filled with music

Not I, but Tal is known to play a mean meat flute.
Turns WC over and spanks him soundly! Tsk tsk You may not be able to play an instrument (other than your own) but you can scream in tune Muhahaha
I made a thread like this a few years ago, and it was revealed to me that joshriot plays with himself in the closet.
That's weird pillbug? Perhaps I should take that video off my wall then.
I used to play on the linoleum, then I learned the violin. I have a guitar and ukelale. In Englands' darkest hour, I will take up these instruments and do the Cacaphonix
Yes - but only if it is done repeatedly
load this first then click one after the other and have a great day hehehe hahaha hohoho

I have a teacher who can drum his hands on the table so perfectly it sounds like a drum. He does it everytime we students get bored. We really like it.
Guitar, bass and a bit of drums. Used to play flute, I probably can't even get a proper note out of it nowadays
I just got onto a worship team at church, so now I'll be playing an instrument for real. I'll be playing the keyboard, maybe sometimes the piano.
I play piano pretty good. I also play guitar but not that great and I know a few drum beats. I'm better at mixing music on PC. I do have some musical talent in my relatives and friends though. My granddad used to play drums and my cousin plays bass in a rockabilly band.

Oh! Next question then, for everybody: Do you have any recordings of your music online that we can listen to? I don't yet.

What, if I may ask, is the nether regions' connection to the bagpipes, or don't I want to know haha
I play violin, especially love playing by hear, figured out some rock songs, Celtic Woman, different things. I sort of play recorder a little. I have an electric guitar that I mess around on sometimes, not very good at it

Celtic music is awesome tho huh... rips into your soul I too play by ear, not too good at reading music any more. though I still can - just not at the speed I want/need to.

Sheeshblimeyeyes! Can you really get hemorrhoids from blowing to hard?
hehe its not from blowing hard (unless your reed is really tough) its from constant blowing (blow up bag - squeeze with arm - blow in more air) and putting pressure on your tum which forces air down and after all, theres only one exit there and if its clamped shut the air's still gunna try and make a run for freedom eye lolol Well thats how I see it.
music has a deep affect on me, whenever i listen to a song it sets my imagination loose and i make up all sorts of stories in my mind that would fit that song. i also just love the sounds instruments make, flutes are nice happy and serene, guitars are just plain cool like spanish guitars, ooh yesss...
i just love music ^.^

Umm... Does this count?
Yes, but only if you tell us your username. And thanks for the link. I hadn't seen that site, and I'm sort of collecting music notation software.
And zeddexx, I really like your post. I'm glad music sparks your imagination like that.

thanx, me too ^_^
I've got a really tough reed for you, MsDink, if you're up for blowing hard on it. I'd be interested in hearing the sounds.
hahahaha! I'd be interested in hearing the sounds.
I am sure I could make you cry like a little girl Tal *winks* You would, of course, hear the sounds you made - well between the blacking out and coming round again, but I promise to keep them between us - I don't like to share my toys *wiggles eyebrows*

The trick is that if its too hard, you may have to shave some off with a bit of sandpaper - now this wont hurt a bit...
ohh whats that DD - pebbled smeared???
I have some remixes of some songs on my YouTube channel.

Tal, you know what happens when a highland lass mashes your' bag with her elbow? Neither do I
LOL Schnapps oh you are priceless!! Made my day that did heheee
You know what happens? The same thing that happens to everybody else.
i am currently a world-class theremin player. my recent job was playing for the royal family of madagascar
I play an old electronic instrument that you don't hear much nowadays above all the iphones and mp3 players and tablets and other "portable music devices" and such. I'm talking about something older than even Zunes, Galaxy Players and Zens and ipods.
I play the stereo.
I play the stereo.
I have been playing the piano for 8 years now.
And I'm getting better and better.
DAMN, Chopin is so hard.
But so incredibly beautiful.
