I had Vista, but now I run Windows 7.

Windows 7 is only the big brother of Vista. So, basically, it does suck.

XP still dominates the top operating systems in use with 61.87% of users. Vista got 14.34%.

I have vitsa...I don't really see anything wrong with it. In fact, I like it.
For the record, I agree that Vista sucks but I've tested the D-Mod on Vista and XP and on Vista it runs much better. No idea about Windows 7 really.

I use Vista and it's fcuking terrible. I find new glitches almost each day!
I have Windows 7 and it runs fairly good. If your Dmod is somehow "optimized for Windows Vista" (which seems unlikely if you ask me), it should run well on Win7, too.
I am an XP loyalist for now... Vista was a crazed attempt to trade blows with the sloshiest bollocks of our times: Apple and it's OS X. They say that, like XP, Vista was crap before the SP's.
Regardless, Vista is a symbol of modern superficiality: it's all very graphical. It lacks the raw glory of XP. They say 7 is a big improvement.

I have XP, only ever seen Vista on other people's computers and don't like the look of it much

The look isn't too important, the functionality. Windows Vista still has a few default themes you can switch out of.
DirectX makes the difference.
Windows 7 all the way. It's gonna be the new XP for the years to come. Superstable and fast, next gen pretty and well supported.

On one I have Vista (64-bit) and on the other XP.
With Vista Dink runs by far not as good as on XP. May be you guys know how I can get rid of the short pauses Vista is creating when I play Dink in window mode?

Yeah, but I've been using Windows 7 since beta and haven't had ONE major problem with it Unlike Vista where I installed it once, crashed 3 times in a week and uninstalled it xD
