-=-BAN COMIC SANS-=-
Yes, I agree. It needs to be deleted from all the pcs used for printing any serious information.
It would be appropriate for use in speech bubbles, but since the large majority of people is unable to get that, it's better to get rid of the whole font. I don't want to get invitations to meetings or letters from the janitor in Comic (or see actual stores using Comic Sans in their nameplates - it's happening here). It's not what it was meant for.

No. It's an useful font at times, for example for comics.
The font isn't overused, if you want to complain about that talk about Times, or Arial. But those are just fine for what they're supposed to do, and so is Comic Sans. Not only that, but having some variety in default fonts is a GOOD thing, even if you don't personally like a font.
If you want a different comic font, download some at BlamBot.

What I don't like, are those fonts with the symbols. Like Webdings, Windings. I don't know why they're even there. They make no sense whatsoever! Also, I don't see what's wrong with Comc Sans. It's understandable, isn't it?
I use Comic Sans sometimes, but, as DinkDude95 said, some fonts are completely useless.
So is leet-speak, that doesn't mean you should use it.
Hi people letz delete fixedsys becoz ist outdated an ugly
Seriously. Leave the default fonts alone. They could add a few more in a newer version of Windows, but the selection we have is already fine and pretty much complete for any use. A serif font (Times new Roman, Trebuchet, MS Serif), sans serif fonts (MS Sans Serif, Arial, Verdana, Tahoma), some monospaced fonts (Courier, Courier new, Lucida Console), some fonts for fun/misc usage (Symbol, Comic Sans MS, Wingdings, Webdings), and of course all the old and new system fonts (Small fonts, Script, System, Fixedsys, MS Sans Serif, Terminal, Tahoma).

Apart from just messing about though, is there any practical use for wingdings?
Wikipedia:
"The font contains many largely recognized shapes and gestures as well some recognized world symbols, such as the Star of David and the symbols of the Zodiac."
That must be enough reason. Being able to quickly place some world symbols, and reaching other symbols. Okay, not enough reason for the COMMON user to use, but...
Also, I have a some musical notes fonts, but a music program uses them. Perhaps Wingdings was used for a similar purpose in some programs...

I use Comic Sans
I don't see a need to ban it, probably because it doesn't annoy me personally
I use it sometimes, and anyway it's not so bad in notes and signs etc. because it's less formal and/or boring than Times, for example, yet it's not so jazzy and hard to read as some fonts people use.
As for Webdings, it's good for what DaVince said, just using it if you want a symbol or picture. The annoying thing is working out which key is which pic!

Why? Charmap exists for a reason, and so do these special character charts.
Charmap... forgot about that.
It's what I would use, I just haven't needed to for ages and I wasn't thinking straight.
