i want to write a book basically i want to copy the story line for dink smallwood for dink fans like me
Dink's story might be suited better for a comic. But good luck or something.
Why don't you, instead of a book, create a fanfiction site or something. You could write from the points of view of other characters as well. Dink's aunt, Lyna, Milder, King Daniel..
a book is long lasting
That's rather true. However, the general publlication method of "I wrote it and printed with mom's kewl laser printer" does not really guarantee anything. It's not so easy to bind your own book. But then again, I've heard about those book binding services that let you actually make just, say, 5 copies of a book for a reasonable price. Only in U.S., though, I'd expect..
But in any case, everyone knows Dink's view of the story. Other characters might offer something new.

Er... It matters how fancy you want it bound, but there are printing services almost everywhere. Considering some of my friends thesises had to be bound, well, I'd think it's relatively simple. Now getting hardcover, good glue binding with gold-leaf edges might be just a *tad* more expensive and rare.
I was thinking along the "hardcover with name of book printed in gold" lines
Cafepress.com prints each copy of a book on-demand. I used that for the DinkC Reference, which turned out decently. They ship internationally.

If you want to get rid of that so badly, just register?
A good writer does not need ideas from outside (sources or influence, okay, but you at least gotta come up with your own story).
Take J.R.R. Tolkien, for example. He wrote - in my opinion - some of the best books of all time. I'm pretty sure he didn't go around says "I want to write a book! I need ideas!!" He made them up himself. That's what you should do.
You probably could - with a little bit of clever thinking - change some of the characters from books you like. But just make sure that people couldn't easily tell where you got the idea from. Or else...

Do not forget how much influence of history, legend and ancient language he mixed in his books, though. That guy was really smart, and his interest for history made some great books.
great ideas or thoughts for plots aren't just lurking around in your head and you can't just "write a book" you need some experience with literature and real writing skills, that's why there isn't that many really good writers out there. I'm not saying you don't have any of this but it sounds like you just want to write a book about Dink because it "would be cool"
I suppose we could do a thing a little like the never ending story thread but more serious with people writing large chunks of text and the admins checking it for spam and jokers.

his interest for history
He was actually a professor in Oxford University, of (I think) mythology and ancient languages.

Ah, my dream job. Working in themes from mythology, history and other literature is a trait shared by many brilliant authors... so KK, I would suggest that you read, read, read before you even contemplate something as large as a book...

I LEARNED HOW TO READ BEFOR KIDERGARTEN!! besides what if I wrote Dink Smallwood in a way that everyone could tell the story
like eldest{the follow up of Eragon} so milder and dink shared a point of veiw to were we could see what milder flatstomp was doing while dink would be walking a lot?

Eldest and Eragon? Yeah, you definitely need to read more books.

i can name some authors: R.L. Stine, Stephen king,
The person who wrote the Harry Potter series what's her face, And h.p. lovecraft

J.K. Rowling wrote Harry Potter. My advice isto read lots of the ood books out there, for example, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter (not my personal favourite, but they are good books), and study that authors writing style and sort of change it to suit yourself. I, (don't mean to brag) am a pretty good write, if I do say so myself. In Grade 5 I got top marks for my sci-fi story I wrote. (It was kind of a take off on Star Wars, but, you know how little kids are.) So, just read the good books, and learn how to write.

i dont wanna write any book anymore. Why do u people keep forcing me.
I'm outta here.
I'm outta here.
you're really not winning any friends... nor any potential readers
What? I thought he was brilliant. The last message shows he's got what's drama's all about. That's important for writers.
I wouldn't really say brilliant, as the form of drama he's using is a well established cliche within the Forum genre, with no derivations on his part.
Forcing? You obviously don't have it in you to write a book if you act like that to book discussion and tips.
You kow, I've never met anyone so ungrateful as you. I gave you those tips out of kindness, and goodwill. And what do you do? You say "ARGH! I'M OUTTA HERE!! "
You never met anyone like that? A lot of n00bs are like that...
I think he will try to tell us it wasn't him who said he wasn't going to write a book, but someone who's posting with his name.
That's what I don't like about allowing guests to post. They say, "Wat? Dat not me! Id neva say anytin lik dat!"
And now, kk, you see the advantage of logging in. When you're logged in, we know it's you... except for that one incident during the change from Gamespy to our current service. Oh... that was a whole lot of fun.
