England
Probably the best country in the world... DEBATE
I'm afraid this thread is going to be full of nationalization.
I must say Norway is the best, and we are much richer than u poor englanish people.
But not yet rich enough to afford decent English spelling lessons?
As much as I must respect the queens kingdom, and the roots to the motherlands, but I just gotta respect the land I live in. And the beer.
Case of bird flu in France... getting closer!
This is my village. My country(Romania) looks almost the same. Isn't it lovely?
I must say I prefer my own independent country. (yet to be founded)
Nothin beats Norway atleast in summer
I like Canada, but wish I lived about 300 Km west, in the province of B.C. I also like the US, and Cuba, for thier culture and people, but wish thier current goverments would go away.
Blame Canada, blame Canada!
I think Norway is probably pretty cool and
the States rock from time to time.

For some reason I know a lot of cool people from Norway. People that I've met in real life, too!
Ah, of course the U.S. However I must agree with Ric. I wish my own goverment would go away!! Never, I repeat never go hunting with Cheney!! You may end up an unfortunate Duck!!
The first time you shoot someone in the face, its ok...it was just an accident. But when your leaning over them firing the rest of your clip...you've crossed a line somewhere.
I guess the country I would most like to live in would be...the US. Not because its great or anything...I am lazy and don't feel like moving.
Oh yea... anyone wanna see some nice pictures of my city and the surrounding area...? Click here for a nice look

I love Russia. Russian history, culture, and language is just so fascinating to me. My favorite country of all time. I also like Japan, United Kingdom, and Germany. My top 4 countries I would like to visit, leanr more about, and learn the language for, with Russia #1, UK #2, and Japan #3.
Hey, that's neat. Me too! I've already been to the UK, though, but I too would like to learn Russian and Japanese, and travel there too, of course.
Russia and all the slavic countries would be interesting to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. It's too much like it is here: Cold. Flat. Rurally populated. Did I mention cold?
Yo, it's not about the country, but about the people. If it were up to me there'd be no countries. Super Ultra Mega cooperation!
One of my classmates is moving to Canada(in Vancoover I think). Is it nice there?
I would love to live in Russia, just to see the people, experience the culture, and I love the cold and snow (yes I'm wierd, so?).
All these countries are just so much more interesting then the US or Canada, they have a rich history, unique cultures, and their language totally owns English.
I would really like to pick up a British accent and a Russian one, they are so cool.

Vancouver is considered one of the best cities in the world to live in. ( hence; one of the more expensive...)
Very beautiful, rarly freezes, rains 100 days/ year( like, march to juneish)

But what is a British accent? There isn't one really. So you can't get one. Nyah.
Oh yes, and I must support the notion that England is indeed the greatest nation on this Earth. 'Tis simply wonderful here!

According to the United Nations, Norway is the best country to live in. You English people wind up on spot 15.
A 'British' accent is the sort of sh*t attempt at an English accent Renee did in Bridget Jones. But pfft, Scotland beats England any day. (cept maybe in rugby... but who cares about rugby *rolls eyes*)
Aww Russia is number 62. I was pretty suprised at the list too, most of the countries I thought were really good were only Ok.
Rugby, and every other sport. Apart from the tossing of the caber (sp?) of course.
Scotland is a nice country though. A bit chilly maybe, but still nice.

Canada is #5!! Woohoo!!
EDIT: I've always suspected that there is a link
between 'it's too cold to go outside' and 'let's
invent something, I'm bored.'

Also, Canada was #1 from 1994 to 2000. Then, in 2001 Norway took over, and has "ruled the list" ever since.
Well we beat you tonight Sabre! (rugby)
And yeah, you spelt it ('caber') correctly.
Chilly? Perhaps... but I like the cold.

Hey hey, that was because they changed the scoring mechanism buddy. So don't get too cocky.
I'm not getting cocky ... as far as I'm concerned rugby is an excuse for males to hug each other... and is perhaps based on their primeval instinct to hunt. Its just nice to see Scotland beating England.
It was directed at Phoenix, check nested view.
/me <blinks>
Well, being half Scottish, I win either way. Score!
Spot the difference between an optimist and a pessimist here!
England IS the best place to live.
1. They talk English.
2. Fish&Chips.
Norway isn't that good to live in..
1. We talk Norwegian.
2. We're one of (if not the) richest country.
(Oh, and I guess I'm back at DN... Suddenly forgot to visit this place )

You exactly said what makes Norway a better country.
Because English is the most widely spoken language most people from Enlishspeaking countries can't speak any other language at all. But people from countries like Norway are know for their ability to speak more then one language.
And I can't say fish and chips are the best thing to eat...

Incidentally, in Scotland... we 'speak' English, rather than 'talking' it.
Incidentally, not all young Norwegian teens are perfectly fluent in English.
(Not even all native English speakers are... I find myself using the wrong words frequently)

Heh, people you met at Ikea?

Ha Ha Ha Ha. No, I met them because they are the only other ones crazy enough to go around biking when it's 30 below out. And one of them has a massive collection of vodka from his old job. That works too.
