We are doomed, just doomed, nothing more
The earth is doomed, nothing special:

I won't mind as long as I can... ya know... with a woman. Yeah. I'm pathetic, but aren't all guys?
If you wanna know what happens, Researchers are making a plan to deflect the asteroid using a 100 megaton nuke, wow, go bruce!!! No really, in theory, it will work, but something terrible will happen, the rock will be deflected, but, the wrong way, the rock will hit earth instead of flying further in space. You'll know what happens next.
What happens after the collision:
Earth will be covered with dust, blocking the sun-light it will kill all plants, we will die, because there will be no oxygen left
Sounds scary?
After the dust:
If we survive, in bunkers, we will have the ice age, we cannot survive that, because it will stay for years, years, years.
Just like millions of years ago, earth will survive, but the humans dont, the bugs and insects will survive, underground.
Some humans will survive:
In 2010 Researchers are planning to build a city on the moon and on mars. A change to escape you say?! NO, because going there, will be FAR to expensive for us, only the president or queen or king or whatever will go there, and very rich persons too.
Still a problem:
We can survive on the moon, but not for long, oxygen supplies arent unlimited, we can grow plants and such, but they cant live forever. We will just die.

Relax man, it's fricking 17 years until then! I'm freakin 32 years old by then, and might as well die anyway.
And besides it's very unlikely that it will hit at all. So Re-la-x, and remember to live life to the fullest in case it hits anyway.

They don't know if it is even going to hit earth yet, they asy it's a .1% possibility. If it is going ot hit earth, don't you think we would just launch a crap load of missles at it and blow it up some only small chunks hit earth and burn up?

The zbible states that a flood of fire will kill all who refuse to believe the Prophet who will be born to warn us. Hopefully I don't live that long
OH MY GOD WE HAVE ONLY 2 YEARS AND A HALF LEFT TO LIVE. OOOOOOOH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Fear not bluedy.
The world does not end.
After the fires of the great battle of Ragnarok the world will be cleansed and our loved ones shall return. And nothing good will have to die anymore.

This particular asteroid was confirmed to pass by earth. According to current data, we've nothing to worry about. Of course it's not going to be a tracked asteroid that's going to end us, it's one we don't even see coming! As good as our detection rate is getting, it IS still possible (however unlikely) for a large space rock to slip under the telescope until it's too late. Excite!
Honestly I prefer not knowing that an asteroid is coming to end our existence than knowing one is and being able to do nothing about it.
oh, so after all the asteroid won't hit the earth?
OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
jk
OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
jk
how the hell are we not going to be aware of an asteroid big enough to smash us up?
also, we have superman. he's good at this sort of thing.
also, we have superman. he's good at this sort of thing.
I don't want to bring everyone's spirits down, but Superman is dead. He was hit by an asteroid, while he was flying through space, he had enough mass to affect the gravitational pull of the asteroid, which then hit him. We have no hero now, unless SkurnMan finally comes out of hiding.
how the duck did supes get killed by an asteroid?
well, alright. i guess i'm going to space. hang on.

Ok, now that Skurn's gone, someone get the asteroid ready, we can all die without him now, we won't need to deal with him anymore and he'll be alone with his thoughts, the worst torture someone can endure.
that's ok, i have loads of friends on alpha creamtauri 5.
Hopefully no one is moral enough to want to save the poor souls. In related news, who's ready for the Dead Dragon Suicide Cult's first official meeting, I made punch
