The Dink Network

In the Dink World forums, I mentioned that I was working on Generation 9 of The Dink Network. Now that TDN's been back for a while, I thought I'd ask for more feedback.

Here is my current design, and here is Neo's blue color scheme. Which is better? Any other ideas? Does it need more bananas?

Well I think the blue one was the coolest. cus it will match a lil bit with this design we use now., but it would be cool to have changes, so maybe go for the red on

What about somekind gradient to smooth that harsh border? Cause lines, they grate on my nerves man.

Hmm, I dunno - in its current form, I like the red one better, with some small enhancements though, like less plain square buttons and such

And the "The Dink Network" logo-sword background-colour is slightly different from the rest of the sword.

And as I said before, more graphics. But as you answered before, first the global layout, then the sweet stuff.

About red or blue. Blue looks better indeed. But that's because this site is blue-oriented.

I like the blue. But here's a suggestion for you: I assme the site is based off stylesheets, correct? Why not let the user choose between one or the other?

Well, that is the idea. But I'm trying to think of a default style / color combination, that most people will use because it is the default.

I prefer the blue, but you can easily make both available by linking the other one as an alternative style sheet.
Any *capable* internet browser will be able to handle this in an elegant way.

I liked the blue design better. What I disliked in both, though, was that the "buttons" for home and such were so far apart and there was nothing between them, just bare emptiness...

There was something suspicious, though.. "Hosted by: Dink Fan" - I do hope you would've asked me before moving under my less than 5 Mb space. Oh well.

Red! (almost) everybody wants blue!! Why is that? afraid of changes? (the first sign of getting old, if you ask me )

no offence, but go for the red, if you want to change the lay-out, you better change it drastically! (is that a real word?)

*sigh*. That wasn't the point. Let's rephrase the question: If you hate the color red so much, why do you have a red background?

Allright. That's a statement. Why I is my background red.

Now it is a thing of the dink game. Dink is always fighting to save the world. THat's why I choose this background because it's typically dink.
And why I choose Milder as person? He's the one who tried in the main game to save the world but is killed by seth before Dink could save him.
He dies for the world. That's why I choose him.

ANd that red yeah it's just blood. But it stands for the game. Blood is the game because there is always an evil who attacks the world.

But it's not the color I choose but the thoughts behind the color.

I'm sure there must be examples to the contrary. Mayhem? Progeny? Dink Smallwood goes Trick or Treating? Agathein Sea Traders? Anarchy Halloween Party? [i]Triangle Mover[i]? The list goes on.

For most dmods it's a fight.

I played als dmod xmas. But thát's boring.
I prefer the blood one's.

And anarchy? yeah that's a different story. I haven't played that one yet.

I like the dmod where you can fight your way to defeat evil. And do a little thinking of how to play.
Last night I finished THe bane of magi. That's was a tricky one. You can play the game in more ways.
So you must choose your way in the beginning of the game. ANd you can change so now and then but you always stay a mage/thief/knight. Evil/Good.
But is was a good dmod. I let my girlfriend started it now. She likes to play dink to.

This is sort of offtopic, but that's just why I love this forum. Nothing ever sticks to what it originally is. Pretty much like Dink.

I prefer the look of the current generation to both of the proposed revisions. Maybe something more similar to generation 8?

I would go for the blue myself, but that's just because I'd always pick blue over red.

However, if you're going to change it, you might as well change it significantly, so maybe I say go red.
