Easter eggs?
What are those smarties in the banner? Easter eggs?
Happy easter everybody!

Happy easter everybody!
Do not make fun of the eggs please. We worked very hard painting those all week, we even had to use the fund in TDN account to buy dye!

I thought they looked sorta like jelly beans.
Smarties? Do those still exist? Thought they were all called M&M's now. But maybe that's just Europe.
Smarties and M&M's are 2 totally different candy's. Smarties have been around a lot longer than M&M's. Only in Canada

WC was even kind enough to lay an egg every time he got pissed at someone on the board..

Where in Europe are you then? Here where I live I can get smarties everywhere. (Nearly.
)

I'm sorry, dudes and dudettes. Smarties ARE still available in the Netherlands. I saw them today in a shop and will buy them tomorrow (had no time to stop today). But what about Treets? They are kind of similar to the M&Ms with a nut in them. Do those still exist?
I've never heard of Treets... they sound just like Peanut M&M's though.
heh... for some reason, I imagine your Bonca icon trying to eat my King icon.
Ok, I think there's some confusion here... I **think** that European "Smarties" are essentially American M&Ms. I got a box of them once in French class. They were nummy.
American "Smarties" are fruity tarty chalky thingers that actually taste pretty good.

Smarties are just like M&Ms, but than in those little boxes
M&Ms are just like Smarties, only then in little bags
And how about Skittles?
They are like Smarties and M&Ms but with fruit taste.
I kinda like all of 'em

Wait, wait, wait... Smarties must not be the same type of candy around the world. Here, they're not really a lot like M&M's they're tart, sort of chalky, wheel shaped candies that normally come rapped in a row to form a cylinder. M&M's are little chocolates with a thin candy shell.
Dude, that's what I was saying!
*sigh* I simply cannot properly express myself today.

No, your post was quite understandable... didn't you know that Striker can't read?

Here Smarties come in a neat little box with a quiz on the back, while M&M's come in a little sac type thing.
Anyone remember the Smartie Song??

(I didn't check redink's links before I posted this. They kinda make this post less needed. Ah well)
Smarties are from Nestlé, who also make KitKat, Perrier and Nescafé (and lots of other stuff) while M&M's are produced by Master Foods, the conglomorate who gave you Mars, Snickers and more things than you can imagine
The only difference I see between then is the "m" and smarties has more different colors (like purple
But! Here comes the kicker, Smarties is ALSO the brand name for another type of candy (I didn't know that till just now) from Ce De Candy Inc. (www.smarties.com).. this might be cause of confusion here

Triggered by Dukie's well-informed reply I used Google to look up Treets. They actually were the predecessors of the nutty M&Ms, also from the Mars company. Didn't find when Treets actually became M&Ms though.
