blackduke's Profile
I'm a journalist who mainly writes about boring financial stuff, which might explain why I spend so much time playing computer games when I'm not at work.
Dink Smallwood and Bureau 13 are my favorite computer games, although I also had great fun with the Command & Conquer series, Rayman, Soul Reaver, Commandos and Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
One day, I'll surprise the world with a novel, but for now I'm trying to focus on actually finishing a DMOD.

Hi everyone,
This is totally off-topic:
Some of you may have wondered "where has that incredibly nice duke-dude gone?" Or maybe nobody missed me at all, which wouldn't be a huge surprise because I haven't been very active on the network lately.
There is a reason for that however. I've quit my job as a financial journalist in the Netherlands to move back, together with my girlfriend, to the beautiful warm island of Curacao (near Aruba but much nicer).
Quiting, preparing to move, getting our cat a rabies shot and informing friends and family about the decision took a lot of time.
I'll continue my career as a journalist (there's not much else I am capable of) but will now write about more interesting stuff such as fights between politicians, poverty and court cases instead of company earnings, corporate takeovers and consumer price inflation.
More important, instead of working long shifts under a lot of stress, i'll work shorter days under less pressure. Hoorah! That should give me a little more time to play or make dmods, unless I'm lying on the beach, swimming in the clear blue sea or watching the stars while sitting next to a campfire.
So sometime in February next year, when the movers have shipped my computers, I should be back online again. (As well as this month, because my current boss can not fire me for using the office computer for private stuff)
Just thought you should know.
