Violence is not so far as it seems to be...
These days people were talking that our neighborhood is safest (is that right?) than the others around here, and suddenly something happens...
A guy was killed right on my street, about 7 minutes ago...
Everybody is shocked, is just like, I saw him 20 mins ago and now, this happened...
Is weird to think how we are fragile, in seconds our entire plans, dreams, life can reach this sad ending...
And that God have mercy of us, because some humans haven't...
There is little mercy on earth now. Perhaps only the strong and cunning survive?
And a speed-head wanted to stab me a week ago. It seems no place is safe.
That's horrible! Hope you're okay now though, both stalker and castman... I've never experienced anything like that where I live.
I bet most of the stabbings and other violence around here are related to hard drugs. I was really really drunk when I was about to get stabbed but I can tell the attacker was on speed or something similar. Seems that downtown Rovaniemi isn't a very friendly place in the nighttime.
I'm beginning to think "strong and cunning" means ones with sawed-off shotguns.
well, in australia, weapons are all but illegal. you get a few stabbings and axings, but drunken brawls and punch-ons are more common - at least in melbourne, maybe not sydney.
But, in the words of Iron Maiden-"be quick, or be dead"

What about making hats from a cat skin? Is it true about this in your country schnapper?
thats probably pretty shocking for a non-us city. i live in DC so thats basically like telling me cats have whiskers
I had to consult google for that one. Apparently there is a woman in King Island (a small island that is part of Australia) who makes cat skin hats from feral cats hunted as pests. Possibly a sanctuary in Perth does so too.
I think it's human nature to be overly optimistic about the world, and little things like this force us to confront reality.
I had an experience once where I saw a car swerve and crash into a tree just on the edge of a park. There was a bunch of teenage girls exercising barely a couple of metres away which would have been pretty terrifying. Some people (maybe family members) came but they parked on the wrong side. I saw them running across to the accident. It was pretty surreal.
A friend of mine told me that once he saw someone slip and get their leg stuck between the train and the platform in a subway station. The driver didn't see and accelerated the train, pulling the guy along. Everyone could see that either he was going to get pulled under the train or have his legs torn off when he reached the end. Luckily he managed to get out before he reached the wall.
It's normal to feel shook up about these things that make you rethink about life, but if you still feel uneasy in a couple of weeks you should consider talking to someone about it.

Well, the cat hats arent too common, but our Military practices target practice in central oz shooting the millions of feral cats roaming at large. incidentally, thousands of people dissappear every year in oz (australia). have you seen Wolf Creek? the Saw series? these stories aren't just jurked from peoples anuses, you know.
about dying, the other day just as some of the students waiting at the station witnessed a women stand in front of a train to commit suicide - in front of full view. no respect to sensibilities of little kids, innocent children or anyone. couldnt quietly OD on panadol. no. She had to screw some train-driver up for life and cut an unforgettable scar on innocence. Why?
