DMOD Pet Peeves
Everyone who's played a few DMODs has most likely come across things that they don't like about a certain part or how a quest was carried out or whatnot.
So, this thread is devoted to expressing the minor/major annoyances of (general) DMODs. Rules of this thread are as follows:
(1) Try not to point out the way too obvious such as hardness errors.
(2) Don't repeat what someone else says.
(3) Only reply with one pet peeve. This should be a collaborative list.
(4) If after a few days nobody has said the one you've been holding in, feel free to post it then.
(5)Try to stay on topic. As impossible as that seems, this is a list not a discussion.
I will start it off.. One thing that bugs me, in a lot of DMODs, is the lack of display/sound effects. During a cut-scene, I don't want to read above Dink's head *Punches the old lady* I want to see the hit animation hitting the person and a reaction of her yelling or whatnot. Now it's your turn.

I like to see attention to detail, for example scripts attached to bookcases, interesting room layouts and stuff like that. It's annoying when the game seems "empty", with nothing interactive except npcs.
Puzzles that have absolutely nothing to do with the story or gameplay. They were sort of novel at first, but then just got annoying as everyone who could code thought they were so clever for implementing yet another boring mini-game.
Idiotic ways of limiting the player from getting to certain areas until a specific point in the plot, like a rock that's somehow fallen on the road from nowhere. It's sometimes okay, it's understandable Dink wouldn't want to wet his boots in the river if there's a random unimportant forest on the other side, but too often the FATE OF THE ENTIRE WORLD depends on whether he can find someone to fix the bridge over a 2-meter stream.
Speaking of rules, where are the rules on this site. Did they get old, or something?
They are old, but still exist. I think this is getting off-topic,though.
Oh, how I weep for that particular site scheme.
