Frozen In Time - Development Thread
Before you read this get someone to hold your eyes open so you don't fall asleep.
My Dmod is called Frozen In Time.
It starts off Dink talking to Dorinthia. Dink marries her in quest for dorinthia you should play it it is really cool.
My Dmod starts Dink talking to Dorinthia he tells her a joke which is so not funny. He wants to tell her another one but she has a headache
So he askes to go on an adventure. If you look around the town outside you will find a few potions and stuff. Most of which Dink will lose very shortly. Next a little cutscene plays and Dink goes for a walk to Tolhynma. But where he ends up is unexpected.
If you talk to the fountain (Look) Dink has a little chat with me! (DinkDude95) He calls me his hero because my name has the word Dink in it. If you look around do something to one of the guys Dink gets teleported outside. Go down some steps to a maze. (Can't get back up!
) There are 4 bad steps down here which if you go down them lead you to a little island with 2 stone giants purple boncas 4 blue slimes and I think a few slayers I'm not sure. So you die. The good way is extremelly hard to find so, good luck! If Dink goes the right way he comes to a beach. I won't tell you this bit cause it's the best part. Next story There's a Pub where Dink can have sex. It is optional not needed to continue like in Pilgrim's Quest. I won't tell you anymore because I'm sure you've already dosed off by now haven't you. Hey! HEY! WAKE UP!!
P.S.Pub where Dink does it originally said pup but Carrie2004 brought to my attention the need for changingment.

Well, I forgot which thingo is which. (romp epic weird etc) But I can tell you it will be in the 400-600 mark. But be warned! It's really Cheesy! By the way, do you know what a Gumbie is? It's a really cool word. You call people Gumbie when they annoy you! But it is actually the name of the little green (plasticene I think) dude of the tv show who drives the train! It's an awesome word isn't it? (Pronounced gum-bee)

If there was going to be a long time before it comes out then maybe, but seeing as it'll probably be here soon in full then what's the point?
I agree with Shawk. You shouldn't if you have to work some weeks or months. But if you have to work with it some 4564356 years then you should send it. You know what I mean with 4564356 years?
If the full Dmod is nowhere near done yet (still requires >6 months to make), you could consider releasing a Dmod, or keep it all one big surprise for when you're done. If your Dmod takes shorter than that to make... Don't bother. Demos for romps?
I say even if you have a month b4 release. Then release a demo so that you know which of your concepts will not be liked.

I won't release a demo. And I changed the bit about the pub where Dink can get laid. Dink actually divorces Dorinthia (Play it to find out how!) An remarries an absolutely sexy hot chick! She gets naked for him they have sex. (Naked woman graphics used by SimonK in pilgrim's quest. I got permission to use them from him. he emailed them to me!) 
His sister is a goblin woman. Got the graphics of the DN. graphics used by SimonK in PQ. Sister get's naked for Dink (After his wife goes to potty!) Asks him if he wants sex, you can say yes or no. I'm almost done. Though almost means about a month I reckon. Sorry to keep everyone waiting I've just had so much on at school. I'm almost finished my projects and I've continued work on my Dmod again. The reason it should be a month is because I am up to the last part and it should take a while.

There is also a church and a huge castle in this area. There are many mini quests to be done before Dink can be granted a magical ability which gives him the power to freeze and unfreeze time...

DD95, I've seen that everyone asks ''Could you betatest it?'', but I think you should do it yourself. I mean, you know every places and quests in it, so it could be easier for YOU to betatest it.
Ehm... Do you even know what betatesting means? It's letting someone else play through your DMOD to spot the bugs you didn't find. Betatesting is not the only testing that needs to be performed. I play through my DMODs quite thoroughly before even releasing a beta, making it as bug-free as reasonably achievable. Because you know all the places and quests you become blind for the mistakes an average player can make, that's where betatesting is for.
I made a DMOD once which I played though several times (it was very short). I thought it had to be completely bug-free. But then I went though all of the different scripts by hand and found like three or four bugs in that very small DMOD. For me it illustrated that testing DMODs yourself only is an almost sure way of introducing bugs.

And he told me a good game should have a bunch of crap I didn't have. So I'm practically redoing the first half of my Dmod. Adding more monsters. More mini quests. Making it absolutely fantastic!
It may take longer than it was going to take though. Sorry! And now there's no sex or nudity because I've recently become a Christian and I decided to cut all that crap out!

I liked the interior screenshot, it's quite original working with those angled walls. I remember them to be hard to work with in terms of hardness though, hope you've gotten it right...

Yes, I got the hardness right. It's actually not that hard.
And the thing is, with the level 20 thing, Dink will come upon this thing and something will happen (Not quite figured it out yet.) and he will go down to level 1 with only 1 attack 1 defense and 0 magic!

Well, it's important that Dink never walks in front of the lower walls when he's walking against the lower hardness. It's impossible to see whether or not this is the case.
In general I'd say the hardness looks good. It's quite hard to get right so I think you did well. The only small thing I saw was a little area of no hardness between the table and the left wall, that's all really...
