G9 - Phase 2
Phase 2 of Generation 9 is now complete. Changes include:
* New Files summary page (linked from 'Downloads' on the left menu).
* New Contribute page, where a user can see what they've created, or add new screenshots, files, versions, patches, or reviews.
* Updated file index pages.
* Updated file information page, including the latest file discussion topics.
* Updated search box to use Google.
* Updated reviews so they have titles, and are associated with a specific version of a file.
* Updated files so they can now have multiple versions and patches associated with them (like Dink Smallwood).
* Updated forum so the file name of the file discussion topic appears below the subject.
* Added the users who were sent a private message underneath the subject in the main forum index.
Any praise, suggestions, or complaints are welcome.

Er... I may have missed the discussion, but I don't see yellow borders around new posts anymore.
WTF? I see it around this one I after I just posted. But all of the other messages I just read didn't have it. I think Miasma is angry at me.

There is something strange in the way in which the titles of reviews have been added. For example, rabidwolf9 and I myself submitted a review of I, Kara Gu. Both the reviews have got the title 'I' instead of something meaningful.
The new downloads page looks cool, though I think that the bar showing the average score is a bit too small. Anyway, better than generation 8.

Yep... the conversion process tried to auto-generate a title based on the first line of the review, and it would stop when it got to a non-alphabetic or non-space character.
This won't be a problem in the future, because you manually specify the title when you write a review.

The Score's on D-mod's,Official Files,Development,Miscellaneous & Source Projects are too way BIG!Make a Smaller like in reviev(The small bar)
Big? What do you mean big?
*goes to the D-Mods page*
OMG I AGREE!

I really like the new contribution pages - I've availed myself of the update feature already and it's very easy to use. The file pages are really excellent. The main downloads page seems kind of busy - I'll probably get used to it, but I can't help but hope we'll be able to search subcategories from the category pages again soon.
I added support to combine categories (say, Development and Cheats), but I couldn't find an easy and useful way to present the choice to the user.
No,no.Miasma IS angry at Chrispy.He told me so.
The features page looks messed up.
But, hey, everything else looks awesome!

Redink1, you did mod_rewrite
It looks way better now. Hope you can do the same for the forum
Speaking of graphics, the edit button for your own reviews is rather hideous. I bet three marks someone will eventually complain they can't see what it says.
I should've posted about this earlier. Sorry about that.
I see white lines above posts that are in reply to other posts. This only occurs in Opera, not in Firefox or Internet Explorer.
On the "Events" page, I see the following lines on top of the page (above the "The Dink Network" header): Set-Cookie: ptime=0; expires=Sat, 31-Dec-2000 00:00:00 GMT; domain=.dinknetwork.com; Set-Cookie: ctime=0; expires=Sat, 31-Dec-2000 00:00:00 GMT; domain=.dinknetwork.com; Set-Cookie: ftime=0; expires=Sat, 31-Dec-2000 00:00:00 GMT; domain=.dinknetwork.com;
Everything on the "Features" page doesn't exist. There's text and a black background, but that's all there is. Every link from the "Features" page links to a subpage of /features (for example /features/about.shtml instead of just /about.shtml).
