I recently re-downloaded Dink and download a heck of a lot of dmods... however, I cannot enjoy them to fullest, because somehow there's no music. There ARE sound effects, but the midis won't play. I know this could have been my soundcard and stuff, but the weird thing is, the midis always worked when I played Dink, and now I just installed it again and it they don't play... I changed nothing on my compuyer, so what could be wrong? or better, how can I fix this?
Thanx in advance

Hmm...I know! When the midi's dont work then you must resetart your computer or reinstall the D-mods!

I had this problem a long time ago with my Soundblaster 128 PCI. It was so long ago I can't remember all the steps I took to remove the problem. I do remember that I changed the soundstate (I think that's what it was called) for the midi. For me there were 3 different options, 2mb, 4mb, and 8mb. I just would change that, play a midi, then change it back to the preferred state. I doubt this will help much, but maybe you could try something similar.

Try playing the MIDIs in an another app like Media Player and see if they work there. Also, check your pc's volume settings and make sure MIDI is cranked up.

Pardon me for double checking simple stuff, but double click the speaker icon on the start menu, look for either "MIDI" or (I think it's "SW Synth", if you have Win ME), if you don't see it, go into Options -> Propterties and make sure it displays. Once you get it, just make sure the volume is up and it's not muted.

I did all this stuff, and I can play midis with my mp3-player too. However, when clicking on a midi it launches an other player, (called Nero player) which cannot play midis. I can play midis with my other mp3 player though. hmmm, maybe I should delete that Nero player...

I thought of something else... Do you have anything plugged into your MIDI port(s), like a keyboard or game controller?

dangit, dangit, dangit...
I can normally play midis now, and no, there's nothing like a keyboard or game controller in my midi ports... darn, I guess I'll just give my computer a so-called midi-elixer... that might be the only thing that'll do the trick
