I've been playing Dink for years now on my WinXP machine. All is great except the newer ones that move agonizingly slow. I just decided to install it on my Win7 machine. All is great here too except for the darn music.

Is there any way to turn it OFF? It is very annoying.

The only sounds I got on the XP machine were the sound effects. That was ok. But this constant music is very irritating.

True, I guess that could work. As long as it didn't affect the game. I was hoping that there was maybe a switch somewhere that could be set either to 0 or a lower volume. Ah well. Thanks.

I disagree.
You can use this file to run the game. It has options for turning music or sound effects on/off.

Are you sure about that toof? I use DFarc 3.12 on Linux and it gives the option of turning off all sounds (not just the midi files). I think mnh001 wanted to just silence the midi files.

Not 100%, I'd have to install DS again, but I think that, yes it should be possible. Though, I play this game without sound most of the time

Change is constant, but Constants do not change.
So, you don't appreciate Claude Debussy's "Reverie",(the repetitive music in most areas), and Franz Schubert's "Serenade" (Stonebrook village music).

@SlipDink
You're right (as always), about sound. There is no difference. You either disable everything or not. I'm trying to figure out where did I came up with the idea that you can play dmod without music but with sound... Oh Alzheimer, how I love thee...

Edit:
While we're on the subject, did my messed up brain made up a thing called freedink dfarc as well? I'm pretty sure I always used that thing to play DS 1.08 without bugs on modern machines, yet I can't seem to find it anywhere on this site.
