I've abandoned this. I am working on something else at the moment though and will probably utilize many things I made for this, but the overall project is dead.

I updated this. Now you know what I've been doing lately.
I hope to play it, and maybe if you describe the story to us a little we can come up with a name.
My D-mod going to be alot better not quite as good as Sabre or Skull but still going tbe pretty good.
Then why aren't you working on it now? A good dmoder like Sabre and Skull always use Free Time to work on Dmods. Or eat bananas.

Sounds like an awesome game. Though, I hope if you're going to implement a day-night thing that it won't actually take half a real-time day to get to night, that if there are quests utilizing this day/night thing that it won't take too long to do them and that they're fun and awesome.
Ya if there are special quests involved with the night day thing the time limit for it would have to not take forever, or maybe an item to change time. I wonder if it works will stores be closed minus bars. Also any hints at the spells.
I think right now it's like 8 minutes of night and 14 of day. Or something like that. There is one enemy that will only appear at night, also shops close down. But that's kind of all there is to it right now.
That should be fun, is it going to have some radiant quests, also can you add a leprochaun or two.

But I'd certainly suggest using wall-clock time at least as an option. If you have to save your game and come back when it's day or night, that adds a great suspense to the game, and forces players to:
1. Wait until they can finally continue.
2. Do other stuff, like eat.
Both are good things.

It's really only meant to be there for environmental purposes. At least that was my original use for it. It'd be easy enough to create situations that only occurred during night, but I have yet to make them.

returns the number of minutes in the day. If it was 3 pm, or 15:00, it would return 900.
Definitely doable. Not sure if it's worth it to force people to wait until real-life midnight in order to defeat the horde of zombies, though

I could easily edit my script to support that. I could even check to see if it's midnight, and if it is force night, create the zombie horde, and make it so all the zombies have to be dead before day starts. It actually wouldn't be too complicated.

Darn and if you make Zombies that come out in the night, make them have loud noises as to annoy the people sleeping when we play, also how are you gonna get it to tell if it's real time, and in the specific area.

I actually would like to include zombies. And I have this weird attempt at one where I just gave a sprite a script that makes it move in stutters. It doesn't quite resemble a zombie though, but it might be the best I can do.
I put in health bars earlier today. It was the only thing I did because I've had a migraine all day and just couldn't focus on much more than simple tasks.
The difficulty is going to progress from incredibly easy to insanely hard. It should be a pretty smooth progression though. It shouldn't be too much of a problem.

So we can't choose a difficulty? I guess if the difficulty progresses the farther you go then it feels like a fair match. Also please make no speed puzzles like in one dmod, I can't remember the name, Return of the goblins I think.

Usually I go for the 100 sprites a screen because I can always find a place to put something, but I decided they were pretty enough as is.

scripted the first phase of the final boss.
added a few new weapons.
and modified a whole heap of graphics for the sake of a single part of the final dungeon. (which puts the dungeons mapped out count up to 9).
