Dreams
So, the last few nights ive tried out a theory of mine.
What i did was i thought about a subject for say... 30 seconds? Then i thought of somthing completely differant.
Everytime ive done that, ive dreamt about the thing i thought of for 30 seconds.
For example, last night i pretended my room was the last haven on earth from zombies. I didnt think TOO hard about it. Then i thought about somthing completely differant. Like what i was doing with my life.
I fell asleep and had a scary, yet tottaly badass dream about killing zombies with my bare hands.
What do you guys think?

An interesting thought. Not necessarilly an accurate way to induce a particular style of dreaming but if it works for ya, sure.
I just crash after gaming and plan what I'm going to do next with mine, then come back and resume it. Best used in sandbox-style gameing.

It's actually true. There's really no need in "testing" it. If something weird/strange/big that you have to think for longer than other things happens to you, you will most likely dream about it.
However, I think you're testing it wrong, because you're already thinking the thoughts end up in your dreams, so your dreams know way before time to "expect" your thoughts, thus increasing the chances of you seeing that dream.

ummmmmm..... whut?
Lets see... if i understand you correctly....
See i tested after it happened the first time by accident...

Sorry, I was tired when I wrote that (in fact, still am). Let's see if I can make a bit more sense here.
What I was trying to say is that you can't really test this "theory" on purpose. Of course, you can test if you're able to control your dreams, but you can't really test if things you think about more than others, actually end up in your dreams. Let's say you think about something a lot without noticing. That will most likely end up being in your dreams. Then let's say you're trying to think about something, to see if it ends up in your dreams. This is totally different, because all the time you were actually trying to make it happen, so the thoughts have a much higher chance of ending up in your dreams.

AH yes, i see what your saying now.
I actually thought along those lines for quite awhile.
So what youre saying is, that if you think about somthing alot, you will dream about it. Unless you WANTED to dream about it yes?
Dreams are interesting things.

Actually, what I'm saying is that you can't really test that theory because when you want to dream about it, and when you "try" to dream about it, there's a much higher chance of it actually happening. You can only test it by sort of an accident.
God, I suck at making sense when I'm tired.

I think what he's trying to say is that you're only able to dream up things which you keep thinking about subconsciously or... maybe something you suddenly forgot about.
Your dreams are supposed to be a visual represent of your mind ''re-arranging'' your memories. So, maybe that subject which you suddenly forgot just got... Put in storage... ? Am I making sense?

I don't remember most of my dreams unless I was woken up during one. It's apparently a common occurance... My dreams have to do with me doing COMPLETELY random things like going to the store, buying candy and suddenly getting arrested by the airforce for murder etc.
OH OH!! Most random dream! GO!
I have several dreams about my girlfriend.
So that's probably caused by my thoughts of her every second, yes?

You just now figured this out, Kerrek?
Saw pretty interesting dream last night. I was home with my brother when we noticed that the sun was much bigger and less brighter than usual. Well, all of a sudden the sun started exploding, with these nuclear bomb -type explosions everywhere. The sun didn't get destroyed, but after a while, an incredible heat wave hit and everybody was like "Aack! The end of the world!". But the world didn't end. The heat wave passed on, and we used some small fangs (lol) to cool ourselves down.
This is one of the most memorable, interesting and scary dreams I've ever had. I've had a lot of nightmares over years, but I've never seen any that's like this. The dream felt so realistic, and the image of the sun exploding is still in my mind. Even after I woke up, my skin was still burning for a minute.

Inception.
I had a dream last night of me playing Dink Smallwood I didn't know which one. Also are you sure you didn't have some heat in your room which made you hot because sometimes when I get hot I dream of games in hot places like ...... I guess Overlord in the last part of the middle or start of the last Or part of Fire Emblem Rekka no Ken.
Have you ever dreamed of playing a video game you never played before? It happened to me, and I woke up crying, realizing that it's not real. But I think it's just the subliminal variation of the games I play. For example; I play FPS games such as Halo 2, BioShock, and MOH Airborne. (The older FPS games imao are much better than today's short attention span multiplayer-based games). The game in my dream is a 3D world and is closely related to what I play, but it had a very different and more awesome map, better graphics, and had better combat. I can even feel that I am in the game. The movement, the hits, the knockback, and everything! The last dream I can remember is about a Halo-like game where there's an airship and it's dark inside, there's a sword elite (one of the tough enemies in Halo games) I was shooting it but I failed to kill it, then it was able to melee me with the sword. Once I was killed in my dream, I woke up.
Maybe this is what happens to video game addicts like me, even though I keep telling myself that im not in the addict level.
