Sorry, I was tired when I wrote that (in fact, still am). Let's see if I can make a bit more sense here.
What I was trying to say is that you can't really test this "theory" on purpose. Of course, you can test if you're able to control your dreams, but you can't really test if things you think about more than others, actually end up in your dreams. Let's say you think about something a lot without noticing. That will most likely end up being in your dreams. Then let's say you're trying to think about something, to see if it ends up in your dreams. This is totally different, because all the time you were actually trying to make it happen, so the thoughts have a much higher chance of ending up in your dreams.
