New D-Mod : The Ghost of the Cast
ThinkDink has released his first d-mod ever : The Ghost of the Cast! It's a small romp which has a small minigame built in called Dink Fightaz which is accesible after finishing the game once.
It includes a walkthrough for all you lazy bums as well, lucky you
So go ahead and download it here.

Its not the best romp but its my first
this is more of a mess around to me im going to learn from this and hopefully make more better bigger dmods
because every1 has to start somewhere
As you said, this is your first D-mod, so I'm going to try to be as constructive as possible.
What this d-mod needs most is actual edges. The way that it is currently set up seems very unrealistic, and it is sometimes difficult to tell which way to head. Add some cliffs or walls along the edges, and the d-mod will be easier to navigate.
As it is, the d-mod is far too simple, and lacks a real plot. It is fine as practice, but does not do well as an actual game. I recommend that you do more like this, but just use them as practice. When you gain more experience, use what you have learned over time to make a published D-mod.
I have never made any myself, so I could be wrong about this. Heh, I probably couldn't make something on that level without a good deal of practice. Feel free to ignore me if you want.

I think the things you should be most aware of are, as it has been said, putting proper borders on. Also, simply having a few screens going horizonatally along is very boring. If you used borders (like the hills, water, anythin) and made it so the map was a bit more interesting, with trees and stuff, it would look a lot nicer.
Biggest mistake is leaving hardness on for the hearts and potions...it's not a disaster if it's 1 or 2, but on a screen with loads...
