The Quest for the Gems

Part 1 - The Quest Begins
We start this Let's Play off with the first video after the 1-year anniversary. Part 1 features cursing at teasing ducks, not having to pay our taxes, people who do not wish to speak, and burning castles.

this is a fun Topic discussion .

the people from the neighboring towns were so tired of paying the taxes even if it was only 1 GP per month per inhabitant so they decided enough is enough and banded together for revenge. and since they knew Oil is highly flammable they threw 1 piece of burning wood in the castle. which resulted in a loud explosion it is a considerable miracle that many parts are still intact but since there is plenty of fuel for the flames it'll burn for centuries to come.

And I did have something but it was frightfully similar to what Merder already came up with

The oil productivity were as great as ever when the mayor told the workers to build a castle over the well.
- "The goblins always steal our oil so we need to protect the well." he said.
Some years later the fort stood tall and the townspeople cheered. They fended off the goblin attacks using oil-fueled catapults which they used to throw oil bombs, they shot oil-dipped arrows on fire, they poured boiling oil on nearby goblins, they used oil for everything.

One day, the Green Warriors of Peace arrived (G.W.O.P) to inspect the environment. There were not a single sign of life east of the castle (where they fended off the attacks) as the ground was covered in thick, black gold (oil). The mayor were certain that G.W.O.P would close down the oil production so he took the investment that he made, set the place on fire and ran away.

The mayor was arrested shortly after the incident. The fire was too intense to handle so there was nothing G.W.O.P could do to stop it. The mayor was sentenced to prison for 12 years for oil abuse. The goblins are making huge profits by helping G.W.O.P clean up the place.

I'm sorry that this has been left behind, kind of. I'm very busy trying to hide myself from life currently, aka doing other stuff with no life. Soon, I'll be even more busier, as life will catch me to a horrible thing called work. I'll try to post another part before that happens, though I don't have any promises.

Please answer me people. I have had problems with Camtasia and I had to stop creating videos with it. Now, after a long search I have finally found a recorder that actually works with Dink without lagging. Now, this program ain't as good as Camtasia, it has a little worse quality and lags the game a little bit. So the quality of my LP's may not be the same as in the past. Now, I ask you people, do you want me to continue making LP's with a little worse quality than before, or do you wish me to quit in DinkSmallwoodPT? Please response to this, so I know. If I don't receive responses, I will probably continue doing in DSPT.

If it's like the quality of your Star Wars LP, then that's fine in my eyes

After being reassured they left and saw the rock in the way a rock was blocking the way out so they pushed it out of the way.

Once Dink had helped the villagers, they realized they should let him into the next town, so they pushed the rock away.

Yeah, missed the last one. I was going to answer, but I kinda forgot (And I won the first one, dang). I'll soon post a discussion for the latest one though.

The story began two days before Dink gives them the water. The almost dead woman saw Dink when she was feeding her pigs one day. She was just about to put the food in the tray when she picked up the largest quantity of sex pheromones she has ever encountered before. She turned around and saw Dink Smallwood, awesome hero, slaying a mighty bonca. She fell in love instantly and sat shyly at the fence oogling Dink while he fought a horde of Slimers attacking him. His shiny hair, the tight green trousers and his sweaty armpits filled with androstadienone has enchanted her mind and body. Dink then took a nap at the spot. For 3 hours the woman, being too shy to take a step towards him, just sat there, stunned by Dink.

During the time the pigs were getting impatient and wanted food. They gathered around the woman to make her drop the sack of pig food. All the pigs got was an empty sack though, as she's been eating it while looking at Dink. The pigs got screwed up in the head now and raided their masters house in search for food, ramming the walls and smashed some holes in the floor and wrestled down the man, knocking him out. Dink woke up from his nap, turned around to the woman which he had noticed, flexed his muscles and said epically, while winking his eye and doing the thumbs up:

- "My name's Dink Smallwood."

The woman yelled like a little girl and ran inside and the pigs punched her in the face, knocking her out. Oh, and they cut off the water supply and guarded the house so they could eat the couple in 2 days. When she got water on the 2nd day after the pig attack, the only thing she could remember was his name and what he looked like. Her feelings for Dink were all gone and Dink's sweaty armpits had no effect anymore.

What a touching love story. lol, your discussions bring out the writer in me.

The woman knows Dink Smallwood, because WC returned to the DN and I am posting on this thread after saying I won't visit the DN for a while, so the that automatically makes the woman know who Dink is and stuff. If you disagree, then you suck the epic electrifying gaping balls of a pillbug that has been shot by a taser gun and beheaded by Bishop Nelson, who obviously smokes electric spinach...

So here is my topic discussion answer.

After summoning the rock to prevent possible monsters in that nook of the cave and learning that it was Dink and not a monster he simple unsummoned the rock.

The old man is in fact world champion in rock pushing and professional warppole gardener. He's building a warppole-network from his town to Goodheart and that stone was in the way for the pole so he threw the rock at Dink's current position.

Well it all goes back to a long line of rock pushers and professional warppole gardeners. They used to... Waaaaait. Crap, Quiztis has it right already >_< I no longer have a monopoly on the truth

I finished recording Episode 5 today. I am so sorry for the delay, but for some reason this thing known as laziness is the curse for many of us Internet users.

my vote went to the original darklands simply because of monster variety. is as simple as that.

I voted for this d-mod's Darklands, simply because I appreciate other developers taking the time to be inspired by areas from the original Dink and pulling it off reasonably well

it was a great LP and enjoyed it a lot i feel sorry for who need to mop up the wizard. and wonder who or what was released. because it felt a little like a cliffhanger ending.
