Re: Google Talk
Anyone here with a Gmail email address use Google Talk? If so, I'll add you on my list and maybe we can chat some time. If you don't have Google Talk, but have a Gmail email address, download it now!
If you check out my account, it'll give you a Yahoo! address, but that's only my commercial address. You know, the one I enter into forms and on forums, just so I don't get spam to my good address. My Gmail is for friends only.

Or you can just use gmail. But who's pedantisizing?
Phoenix, I must say that pride swells within my inner abdominal cavity. You've posted a message that did not call (or imply) that someone (not Someone, just someone) is a moron, an idiot, or an incompetent individual! And it was even helpful?

Well, everybody needs a break in what he is doing sometime...
I used to do this, but it's no sense complaining to everyone about everything, anyway. Best to PM the people you'd like to target so the rest doesn't have to be annoyed by it, right?
I don't use Google Talk, I'm registered to plenty of chat protocols anyway (WLM, AIM, Y!IM).
(Btw, the AIM protocol is the best. It's stable and logs in real fast.)

no, MSN is way cooler (even though i have never tried any of the others...)
WLM is MSN. And don't judge other protocols if you have never tried the other ones in your life.
The WLM protocol is the most crappy of the three I named. It tends to disconnect a lot more, tends to not receive posts or fails to send them a lot more, makes mistakes when it comes to people being offline/online, logs in slowest of the three (at least 3 times slower than WLM).
Also, I'm talking about the protocols here (the "rules of communication" in the network), not the features each of the protocols might or might not support.

Does anyone use Google Talk?
Chrispy, the advantages over normal Gmail chat is that with Google Talk you can actually talk to people if you have a microphone, and you can group chat.

(Bah)^(Meh). Microphones suck when your computer can't work with them properly. I can't seem to ever pickup an audio signal unless I yell, even with mic's that work good on other setups. C'est la vie.
Don't blame Phoenix, it's pretty common with his case.
