Easy DInk C Question
It seems that Easy Dink C, has a mind of its own, that is making me slowly lose mine.
What do I need to do to make the file folders and files show up in windows explorer? I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I have noticed an oddity the occurs.
I started EDC, and used the DMOD wizard to create the basic folder and files, and while it (EDC)was running, I could open up PSP and modify and create my graphics, and thus save them in the Dmod folder. I hadn't really thought anything about this until today, when I was suddenly inspired to do a modification on some graphics.
Hence, I fired up PSP, went to open the Dmod folder and it was no where to be found. I even went into command level, and it didn't show anywhere. Out of frustration, I started EDC, opened the project, and there were all my files and folders right where they should have been.
Querstion: Does Easy Dink C hide the folders, and if so, how in the hell do I make them visable again, so other programs can access them? Or is this another issue with Vista and the run-time lib.? If so can this issue be rectum-fried in any way, or a possible work around?

up in the address bar, type in "<d>:\[i]\<n>
key:
<d> = the drive you installed it on, usually C
[i] = the install directory. this is usually program files\dink smallwood or something
<n> = the name of the dmod folder
you should now be in your dmods directory. i am not sure if EDC hides or not, but i know there is a setting allowing you to see hidden files/folders somewhere in folder options. (i think)
if you have any trouble, do a search for 'psp' (is that the name of the directory?)

'PSP' is an abbreviation for 'Paint Shop Pro', I think.
Just hit F3 and search for the folder name.

It seems the only time my Dmod folder for the game (Far Away Places), is only viewable when Easy Dink C is up and running, and only through EDC. If I try and creat or copy the folder to the Dink Archive I'm told it already exists, although it is invisable to the nekked eye.
I have set my entire C drive to show hidden files and folders, but that doesn't help either.

Easy DinkC was created back when there wasn't even a Windows XP around. I think I made it in Windows 98SE. Anyway, to best of my knowledge, Easy DinkC does not hide anything. At least I never made it to do that.
However, being that old, there may be bugs that are now showing up in more recent versions of Windows, say XP or Vista. And although I am currently working on a new version of EDC, I don't have anything ready right now, and so I cannot really help you. I've also lost the original source code for that program eons ago. Or like 4-6 years ago, more correctly, and I don't run Windows anymore either, so I can't really do any debugging.
