For me , it was killing the 4 goblins in the Goblin sanctuary,killing Mog and again killing 3 members of the
Cast,all in one go(without saving or rest,as it was a sequence)
Especially since I had only fireball magic and
bow and arrow,with bowlore at that time

Before SETH, to me, it was the girls worshipping the dead dragon carcass.

I found the hardest (not by difficulty, but by time and will) task to be gathering money for buying things. So incredibly boring.

Yes, killing the first bonca was real tough for me too,
considering we don't have much strength at that stage

Well, before I found out what to do when the guard goblin in the Goblin Sanctuary won't let you in, I thought I'd have to kill the goblin to enter. (My English was bad at that time.)
I never made it.

Getting strong enough to get past the stone giants.

Killing Mog...because my first version of the game had that bug where if you hit him after he was dead, the game locked up. So I had to kill him just...right. It took a few tries, because I liked acid rain.

The toughest thing I accomplished was probably getting enough money to buy the herb boots. It was a few years ago, when I was a novice, so I found it pretty challenging.

Phoenix: I have to agree with you on that one. It's been a long time since I played "Dink"!
But, the rest of these fine people have their own points as well!! Heck, the first time I played the game, I hadn't EVER SEEN a bonca! Let alone what I'm suposed to do whith it?!
Now, I'm a SEASONED professional (yeah, what ever you say Lance); and the Dmods DO get easier as you learn!
If you get bored, then please look at MY last 2 posts!? Maybe you could offer some info?

Probably getting money when I was younger to buy things. Now that I'm older and no how to play the game, my last runthrough was actually quite easy.

how many times have you completed the original dink?

Four or Five times, I think. I've done the same with POTA.

The only other RPG that I've played all the way through that many times is Seiken Desetsu 3.

Dink is a relatively short RPG though. Of course, it had a very small manforce behind it, unlike big titles like Zelda and Final Fantasy, but it's still rather short. So completing Dink many times isn't too much of a hassle. I'm sure it can be completed twice in one day, even, given that you don't do much else.

Isn't the record something like <3 hours?

I think it's more like around 100 minutes.

On my first playthrough, figuring out you had to blow up a rock to get into the duck sanctuary. I was stuck on that part for a very long time and ended up killing the ducks from outside the fence. =)

GATHERING Money to DO the quests definately takes some time

Other than that, THE Dmod isn't all that hard. Just burn everything in your WAY, and I think you'll be OK!?!?!?

Saving people doesn't take too kindly to me, (Nadine's girl quest) as they always seem to jump out in front of me and get killed. My cousin, who showed me the game, walked me through the whole thing so I never really got stuck.

my friend helped me a little, but then he stopped helping me so i just used the ultimate cheat thing he gave me and warped to the duck village. then i warped inside the place and went kill all enemys

Oh yes, I never figured it out on my own either, I found the solution on the net somewhere.. That might be the toughest one.

I really cant answer thatin total honesty, as I haven't ever completed the game. For some reason, I can't get in to see The King, even though I believe I have completed all the side quests so far, the guards keep telling me he is gone. So I kind of lost interest, though at some point I would like to finish it.

I suppose up to now, the hardest task has been the "Dead Dragon Worshipers."

Hey Phoneix since you said it was hard getting gold, why not try downloading and installing Ultimate cheat as you can add 5000 gold with a click of a button!

Some people just don't want to cheat. With cheating there is no challenge or anything. So why would I still play it then?

Well, dinkmonacer, I don't like cheating in games, typically. And when it comes to Dink, I don't need Ultimate Cheat anyway, I know DinkC.

hmm... maybe... ah... i could try and edit all the scripts in PQ enabling me to cheat! and do it automaticly at the start of the game! i never thought of THAT before...
