Like a message on some stone or object Like you play dink in vahalla it it says a reference for CC3.

For Example it would be good if can see a cameo scene of monekynuts over a river and he says a couple of things.

CC2 had a demo... Prophecy of the Ancients had a demo... Stone of Balance had a demo...

I know. I was just referring to the fact that most demos on this site have never been finished.

Demos get removed from the site after the full version has been released. So it's kinda obvious that only the unfinished ones stay. I don't know if releasing a demo actually does something to the likeliness that a DMOD gets released. There are probably dozens of examples of DMODs that could have had a demo but were never finished anyway...

Without a control group we just don't know what happens. Of course this can be an advantage too. Now you can claim whatever you want...

Now I'm also getting really curious as to what these things mean. I'm kinda guessing they're either a story or some chronological order of things...

Let me take an educated guess about the meanings:

12/12/12 : Cloud castle (3?)
11/11/11 : New spells
10/10/10 : Monkeynuts? (taking Sparrow's guess here)
9/9/9 : Something with death, possibly CC2 figures being raised from the death? Or perhaps a reference to ancients. Not sure of these things.
8/7/6 : Project cancelled (for a long time already maybe, that's why the 8/7/6 ?)
5/5/5 : You feel that you let us down because we didn't realize this already...
4/4/4 : Final part of a trilogy? Might explain the three triangles making up a triangle...
3/3/3 : Choices. Not sure if it's something you as an author choose or choices you can make in the DMOD.

I can't believe nobody gets the 11/11/11 means Homing Crystal. It even says it in the URL. And we all know the CC -series have homing crystals.

So, I'm not uploading a demo to the Network. However, I'd like some people to play through the opening sections of CC3 and let me know what they think. What's working, what's not working. It's a little rough in some areas and there isn't anything particularly exciting happening yet (so don't expect any awesome boss fights or the like). There are also a number of things ready to be included that haven't been programmed in (a fantastic intro by Arik, for example - The one included is a placeholder).

Most important to me is that the game retains that Cloud Castle feel. Moving the game out of the desert has been proving harder than I would have thought. Having a unique setting for your d-mod does wonders for creativity.

So, I'm throwing out a betademo to those who would like to have a look. Who is willing?

12 - Cloud Castle
11 - Homing Crystal
10 - Monkeynuts
9 - I'm going to keep this one to myself. Meta made a very good stab at it.
8, 7, 6 - The game has been effectively cancelled over and over. Trying to work on it just intimidates me and I get too scared to try. I'm in a "Let's do this!" mood right now though, so keep the faith!
5 - For being such a failure when it comes to finishing this dang d-mod. It means more to me than it does to you, and I can't bear the idea of not finishing the series. Or releasing something that doesn't live up to the billing I've given it. Hence my stress.
4 - To do with the party members from CC2.
3 - Again, I'll keep this one to myself.
2 - People holding a demonstration. DEMO.

I'm willing to give it a test. I haven't ever done much betatesting, but I've done quite a few rigid playthroughs for reviewing purposes. I'm willing to test it if you think I can help.

EDIT: I now think 3 means you can marry Alessa... Just guessing though.

Looking forward to the release so much that I couldn't bear the thought of spoiling myself with information by participating in the beta. So although it may help with the final release or no, I'll stand aside until the product release.

I'm a little torn. I watched the CC LP and was waiting for the LP on CC2, but if I play the demo for CC3 I'll probably spoil it... The alternative is playing CC2 first, which I've been meaning to do, but I think its size will prevent me from finishing it anytime soon. Sigh, choices!

I'm still excited for it though! I love seeing hyped up stuff getting released

yeah its been long, about 5 yrs

recently got hd dink on my android
and played through it again
next copied cc and cc2 to the phone. now after completing them i logged into tdn only to find cc3 demo is releasing.

the speed up button might have helped up a bit.

You know what? Maybe we'll be lucky and he won't. I mean think about it, if Predisher helps CC3's development, his name's going to blight the DMOD.
