Stuff I found on my floor
So, I thought I'd take some pictures, and hey, etc, I took a picture of some dink related stuff.
Who here remembers when the polish magazine Gambler had a bunch of dink community stuff on one of their CDs? I still have that mag in my pile o' jun.. memories. And, also who still has their dink smallwood CDs? You know, from back when you had to buy it, I mean. Ok, here they are. (yes, I realize now afterwards that having it all in one picture would probably have been better)

I think so, yeah, but I've never been sure. Is that really Dink, or just some random evil guy?
I had a screensaver of mine on that CD, btw.

well the hair is like dink's and the tights...
but I always imagined that dink looks diffrient...i'm dissapointed

I really regret not having the original CD. I saw it in a store a couple of months ago and they were still selling it for over $10 while its been freeware for years.
Hmm Kyle ever walked into a Bart Smit? you can STILL buy it for like 2 euro.
And Andy you have to be online more man..

Honestly, I would still BUY Dink... for about 2€ (or less)
When I got my Gambler in the mail I cracked the yellow cd before even taking it out of the case
and yeah Andy you need to post more

I also have the Dink CD but it was already a budget version when I bought it. It has a different cover (without the Dink transvestite) but includes the avi intro movie with the dragon.
And last summer, Dutch computer magazine PC Consument (PC consumer) they had the freeware version and mystery island dmod on their CD-rom.

Bunniemaster?! Good to see you again! Hope you're doing alright.
I wish I could post more. I can't though, since I don't follow the dmod releases, and such.

I bought mine off RTSoft.com for 25$ at the time, I believe it was late 1998 or early 1999,it didn't have anything special about it, just a dink smallwood cd with a floppy disk that fixed the fountain bug. I still have the floppy disk, although it doesn't work. I gave away the game to my friend because my computer started screwing up and was nearly useless. I downloaded the game, and here I am among the few who still play this dumbass game.
Found dink on a shelf in a store when it was new.. browsing through games as I was I went 'woah, cool, you can make your own adventures with this!' and so I bought it..
I bought mine 3 years or so ago in my local toys shop. I wasn't looking for something particular, but I always loved rpgs. Dink was (it was some sort of "best buys" edition) only like.. 5 bucks, so I thought "hey, cool". When I finished the game, I was dissapointed it ended so soon. Then I discovered the Dinkeditor (which took quite some time and stress) and made Secret of Parizaya in September 2001. Then I joined the community. (before actually joining I thought Mike Snyders site: Dink Smallweb (I think) was the main Dink site. hehe)
Ah, the memories

I had spent many a month searching the web something to edit senseless, and after many failed tries with Engines for Wolfenstein, Doom, and some pooey isometrical things, I encountered Dink.
It changed my life.
It changed my life.
It was October 2001, my computer was just out of the computer repair shop, as I screwed it up with downloading the most newly Norton AntiVirus 2000, wich contained a virus. Ilogical, I know.
Then, one afternoon after school, I was just looking at download.cnet searching for some cool, free RPG, ah! the RPG games, how I liked them, and I still do...
I downloaded lots of free RPGs, but I still wanted more. So I kept searching, searching, until I saw the name of the free, 23 MB RPG: Dink Smallwood. I decided to try to download it, since so much thumbed up for this game.
When the download was completed, I just felt...well...incredible.
I started playing it, I tought it was such a very nice game. I saw the d-mod that the file contained.
It was cool.
I went to the site that (I think) the readme said: dink.teleffraged.com, it said I could find more d-mods.
And so I did, it was December 2001 when I entered the site by the first time, just when FIAT was released, and I decided to join the community.
