So, having no Dinker's View anymore I have decided to come up with another same stylish idea: Dinkerview (kinda similar name, I know but oh well ).

What is Dinkerview:
Dinkerview is a interview hosted by me for dinkers. You know, I interview them, they answer to the questions I ask... simple.

How to report to be interviewed:

Just post if you want to get interviewed. You'll have to post it to the "reporting threads". A new "reporting thread" will always open when I'm looking for a new dinker to interview.

How are the interviews done:

Simple, I PM the one who I have chosen to be interviewed (of the people who want to be interviewed obviously) and I ask the questions from them. Then they just answer them. Really couldn't be any simpler.

REPORT NOW FOR AN INTERVIEW AND BE THE SECOND DINKER TO BE DINKERVIEWED!!

Also, yes, these interviews will be published... obviously.

Start a new one. The same guys will be able to report again, though.

This is a cool idea Skull. I wanted to interview Striker for an Everything Dink, but never got around to it (busy busy busy, perhaps it'll happen eventually).

You should start with Seth, Redink1 or at least one of the admins/mods for the first interview, I think. Gives it that "woah, interesting" jumpstart.

Also, make sure to create your own website (section) for it, so it's all archived neatly as you hold more interviews.

Actually it would be even better if it was posted as an article. There is a category for it, we'd just need a staffer to do the posting.

Ooh, I didn't know that. I figured it could be hosted on the DN in a similar way when it gets long (and popular) enough, but if the tech is already there to do it on the site, that's the best way to do it!

I agree that I should do that for the first Dinkerview, even though it might be hard to get some of these guys to be interviewed. But the biggest difference that I was thinking to Dinker's View, is that Dinker's View only interviewed the most popular dinkers, when Dinkerview would interview any Dinker, even the n00bs. That was my idea for Dinkerview, seeing as I think everyone should get the chance, not just the most popular guys.

EDIT: There's also the chance that you could give me the power to post news articles.

I think you should interview Christiaan if you can't get one of the old "legends" (RedInk1 or SimonK would be awesome); he probably knows most about the future of dink.

I have to admit, Christiaan has been on top of my list ever since he reported.

It's nice that you're also interviewing the regulars! So is this going to be text-only, or also audio and/or video (+transcription) if the interviewed is willing? (If so - it'd be nice to see videos of their mods or other work mixed into the video.)

It will be text-only at least for the start. I might consider making audio interviews at some points too, but I will probably have to ask someone else do those because of my not-too-good-english.

If you want to publish an interview, just PM me or another staff member the interview and it can be posted as a news article.

Especially if its an Audio/Video file; You can upload it that way and it'll automatically get a news article

Alright, SabreTrout said in a PM that if I pick him to be interviewed, the sooner would be the better. And to be quite honest, I don't think we'll be finding a better dinker to launch of Dinkerview.

So, if everyone is alright with it, I would like to close the reporting already. Just say if you think we should still wait for a while, but as I said, we'll probably get no more legendary dinker than Sabre.

Anyway, seeing as nobody apparently has no any problem with it, the reporting is going to stop tomorrow afternoon, or something like that. A one day difference from the original one, but yeah. Report while you can, although I doubt we'll get anyone like SimonK to report or anything.

In reality, Skull, you can easily re-open reporting once you've gone through a few interviews.

Why don't you just ask people if they're interested rather than do it like this? That way you might get SimonK or whoever to do one.

That'd be my idea too. If you can simply ask to be interviewed I am afraid I'll only get some standard questions instead of some questions specific for me. A proper interview asks specific questions, so the interviewer needs to be interested in asking questions to the person being interviewed. I think the incentive should be with the person doing the interviews.

Really, the start should be who you think is interesting enough to warrant an interview. Just ask that person, he can always say no...

Oh, there are so many of who I would love to interview. The problem is, they don't visit here very often. There are also quite a lot of people who have said that they want to be interviewed but only after they've made a D-Mod. So in my opinion, it's better to ask people to report, than to wait two months for someone to just answer "No can do".

Well, if you were going to interview me, I'm going to be gone for a week. Family vacation to Nebraska.

Other than the reasons I already pointed out. It's also easier to do it like this so that I have time to spend between the interviews, and I have some time to make up some of the questions, even though I might not know who I am interviewing next.
