Updated Files: GNU FreeDink
Beuc's still working hard on FreeDink and has released a lot of updates for it:
FreeDink itself has had a couple of bugfixes and 9 (!) new translations, DFArc 3 has 5 new translations and the source code for both has of course also been updated.
Speaking of source code, the game data code for FreeDink is also available now.
Oops, I missed something! Here's the "free as in freedom" version of the original Dink game, meant to be distributed as part of FreeDink.
In particular:
- the graphics and story are under the free zlib license
- most of the sounds and music were not owned by RTsoft and are being replaced
This means that the game respects the principles of Free Software and can be safely included in GNU/Linux and *BSD distributions.

Sweet, FreeDink has definitely got to be one of the most awesome things anyone at the Dink Network has ever produced.
Maybe one day I'll switch back to a Linux so I can use it.
EDIT: I just noticed something. Deleted posts still count towards total post count. Not really a big deal, but a bit annoying during times like these.

FreeDink has a Windows version too . In fact I think the Dink Network version is the Windows version. I'm guessing if you unzip to your Dink Smallwood directory you can run it.
Mmm, FreeDink is cross-platform so I think the same version can run on Windows, Linux, anything. Maybe Mac too, dunno.
I never got freedink to run on windows. For some reason it just won't work. I guess it has to do with me installing it on a external HD, some programs don't like that, apparently.
It would be nice if the community worked into getting some free sounds for FreeDink, now it includes a sample dmod for testing sounds.
I already contributed a little bit (screaming girl sound) although I'm not a big artist.
For the music it would be nice, since it supports OGG music (that's even better quality format than the MP3 one in Aural+).
