If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
There are no real rules about sprite size. They should just look good in comparison to Dink. Dink is roughly 50x100 pixels in size. (including shadows) So that gives you a rough outline. Unfortunately you often have to try it if it simply looks good, at least that is the way I make my sprites...
