: You need to stand in the correct spot and half a certain agility level. The correct spot is opposite the well and near/on the rocks on the ground. Dink will only throw if you're on the correct spot. The throw will only be successful if you have a sufficient agility.

Sorry Simon, I cheated and did not need to...but, I figured it out already, now I am having a tough time killing those octopus like creatures in that funny underground place in the red water.
